Great news about Spain and your collaboration with your colleagues. Should be the experience of a lifetime and I can’t wait for the recap when you all get home and post the fun you had. Loved the Roses, but watching the beginning just gave me hives, not an experience I could or would enjoy doing, just too frustrating. I think I lack the persistence for that one. Stay safe.

Wow! You have amazing powers of observation. Discerning that there are some pieces exactly the same shape, and how many of them there are, wow! Is this likely to be true on other brands of puzzle?

I would have put it in the bin in despair! I just don’t notice things like the same cuts being duplicated. I must pay more attention.

That roses puzzle looked quite impossible and I'm surprised you put it together so easily. I would love to see you tackle the "SUN" puzzle by Blue Kazoo (1,000 pc) which I've been trying to put together for over a year and haven't gotten more than 100 pieces done. I would love to see an expert like you give us tips/tricks and strategies on something of that difficulty.

I think I would have thrown it across the room 😄 however it made a brilliant and super satisfying video - just watching all the red pieces disappearing around the outside and appearing the middle. I would not have tried this puzzle and if i had I would not have finished it. Great puzzling. I have two of the big puzzles on your shelf. The 5000 Ravensbuger Disney and the 6000 Clementoni Downtown. Still need to do them.

I like roses and this reminds me of when I was doing the 1500 piece puzzle Tais in Red. That one is about 1/3 rose bushes. And half to 2/3 of that is mainly red (plus a long, red ball gown on the woman). It's probably a similar difficulty to those sections in that puzzle (or maybe starfield from Blue Kazoo or the Krypt Universe Glow by Ravenburger [there's also a Pikachu shaped krypt like puzzle that's entirely filled with pikachus also from ravensburger, so that one could fit as well).

I remember. I woted on this the last year. 😊It is so pretty.

That is great news about Spain and congratulations on your 3K subscriber milestone. The cut pattern on this puzzle reminds me of the 5000p solar system puzzle on the shelf behind you. I suspect other 5000p Ravensburger puzzles are the same too. On this puzzle, the cut is repeated 4 times with the two top quadrants rotated by 180 degrees from the bottom two quadrants. This is problematic for this puzzle as some of the repeated pieces are almost identical, particularly some of the edge pieces, the pieces around and inside the the blue box at the bottom and where this is just a starry background. You will have to use minute overlapping details such as the diffraction spikes from the stars and barely visible differences in colour to tell which pieces are correct in some places. I would also suggest doing the edge only when you have inside pieces to connect to so that you can confirm that you have the correct pieces. On occasion, I had to find the matching pieces and try both to figure out which one was correct. Despite that, it was a great puzzle to do. Hope this helps!

I mean, I love puzzles, but this looks like pure hell. Worse than the Ravensburger's solids. Congrats that you went though this. I would have given up when opening the bag hahaha

Just earlier today I watched the video where Donnalouise announced it. It's something I have been curious about myself, and I'm now actually starting to think of participating, but only the next year. I feel with all the traveling (I'm European, but it's still a fair bit to travel) and other practical hassle, I would like my skills to be better so that I would at least fit in the maximum time span for the competition and things like that. Very curious to see you how you'll do in there, and best of luck already in advance!!
