So here's the thing. Everyone is natting about the doors will be the only thing left. Of course. What this video is, is a synergy of people wanting to do exciting things. IAC Acoustics and Claudio hooked up and it's a win-win. They get a great viewership about how amazing their doors perform and DoctorMix gets free doors out of the deal. Love it.

I started to follow you about two years ago, I have always liked music, I was a dj, radio operator and even, tv operator, cameraman, etc, but due to life circumstances, I became a police officer, I have forged a great career , but music was always relegated, at 46 I began to study (again), piano, music, theory, etc. I'm building my recording studio little by little, my daughters are musicians, one is a violinist and the other is a violist, and as a family we are carrying out this project, we live in Argentina, in a city called Rafaela, in the province of Santa Fe, Undoubtedly you have been and are a great inspiration in my life, to see how you share your knowledge, many times I have thought or I have felt old for all this, but watching your videos have filled me with strength and courage to continue, in my Country the economic resources are very difficult, but I think that little by little we will achieve it, although going through this challenge makes it more fun, thanks for your videos, how you share your knowledge, your great love for music and what you do, thank you, please continue like this

Thought the same... The doors are cool but i doubt the rest of the dry walls are going to last long enought.

@@NinoJoel I bet the whole building could be vaporized and the doors would still be intact =) They will do their job fine isolating the sound in there. I love theese videos

Fire spreads with oxygen. Meaning air. Since the rest of the studio is built both acoustically and to the country's own fire standards, you can safely assume it's air tight. The fire would spread and heat up the doors the fastest since it's where the room opens, meaning it's the weakest link in a real life fire. Having the doors built to with stand the worst-case scenario is logically the best bet. You'd wonder why a company like IAC Acoustics would dedicate hundreds of millions of pounds to research....

Ah some more building engineering, loving it! I have been involved with stress testing precast concrete floors at a factory during the development of new type of precast floor for residential buildings. With those sort tests, a 3-point load test is performed to verify if the calculations are correct. With this test, the sample was tested until it starts cracking and the rebar starts slipping. At first the element bends excessively before it breaks.

When The Doors, in the studio sing “light my fire” David Burn comes with the firefighters with whom he sings “Burning down the house”. After that, only The Door stands out. @@thebrazilshow Not that i know exactly whats going on but from what i see Doctor mix is moving the whole operation there. So i think the main room will be Claudios Room and then there will be a mastering room and a third room for maybe recordings or more mastering ??? I think this is whats going on.

Im sure the firedoor is for a better soundblocking... Anyhow, a drywall can resist up to 120 minutes of fire - but if you build a fire resistant drywall you use only metal profiles - no wood.

He’s using metal studs with drywall, mtl studs w 5/8 inch type x gypsum ea side is 1 hr rated in usa probably similar in the uk

These were unpainted just for the fire test, we promise the finished article will look spotless in whatever colour people choose! 😁👌

Doors are definitely unpainted in that demo, they get powder coated before arriving to the customer.
