There were two main 'Narcissus' models used in filming: one with the dimensions of this kit, and another that was foreshortened for long shots. There was also a tiny model that was used in the shots of the craft in its hangar. The models were made by a man called Martin Bower, who had previously worked for Gerry Anderson on Space: 1999.

All those Alien Halcyon kits really need re-relases.

I have this kit and it really is well done . I built one for my Grandson & still have another to build for myself. I plan to scratch build the screen/ vents on the back and make they are in scale and plan on cutting out that interior and scratch build another one and as I plan on lighting the interior so you be able to just see the interior behind that terrific smoked glass and what you did with the front engines I loved, definitely gonna steal that idea. VERY NICE work my friend !

I like how you were able to "up date" the model but kept the new stuff to a minimum to keep it's originality . Oh, and HI from the East County 🤠😁

This kit is actually 1:72 scale. Halcyon made this mistake and Aoshima repeated it. In fact, just look at the size of the seats and it's obvious that they are definitely too large to be 1:144! In doing my research, I went to the official Aliens references and did the math myself. This kit is exactly 1:72 scale.

May I ask you something about the Glazing Putty? I saw a few modelers using it. They dilute the putty with something and use a brush to apply it and it gets immediately very smooth and shiny too. What thinner is used for the bondo glazing putty? Water? Mineral spirit? Acetone? Thanks.
