When you put the studwork up, you should allow enough space for your folding wedges to overlap not pinch each side of the lining.

Nice one Pete, start them off on a good foot! Some of the standards from new tradesmen has been shocking over the last few years, especially on new builds. Who the hell is training them? Nice work young man, keep up the standards.

Another excellent, patient teacher at A&E. Said this is the last video too but the trades are desperately missing guys like this to bring in the next generation. Everyone is too pressed for time and money now.

Got to love a bucket of wedges. I always cut all the off cuts on the table saw at the end of first fix. Everyone looks at me like I’m mental but they soon come and ask for some

It's great to see someone taking the time to teach an apprentice properly, too many apprentices are used as cheap labour by construction companies. It's really hard to explain how to do, and why it's done that way for each individual task to another person, Good effort. The one thing I would add is to sight your 2nd jamb in to the first to check for plumb, rather than using the level on both sides.

Have you remove the wedges away at the end? I thougt it must be just trimmed flat to edge.

Don't mind plumbing it follow the stud if the stud is off you won't be able to plaster to it as the tolerance is to tight... keep your margins... then don't plumb the receiver side just sight one style through at a diagnal to the opposite side of the other jam.. so they are parallel...... you can do it your way if everything is spot on which I know yous do... but plumbing a frame on an out of plumb stud doesn't work especially if you only leave 3mm for skim either side.. so you should show him how to overcome that obstacle .. but top work as always lads
