Hi David, It can cut 45 degrees on planks up to about 6-1/2 inches wide (including any tongue and groove parts). For a perfect 45 degree cut, we recommend using a squaring tool. Place the square along your fence, then run your board along the triangle's long edge as you feed it under the blade. Enjoy!
