Thank you Tayler! This is awesome. I have never heard of the Ravit app. (purchased today!) It will probably take me days to organize my favorites and queued knits, but will be SO worth it. I pretty much use Ravelry as a dumping ground for everything I like. I would love it if you could do an episode (if you haven't already) on how to make notes on projects. I'm sure it is obvious to most people, but I could use some help to have it make sense. I also don't know an efficient way to enter my yarn stash or anything that I don't know 😂 Thank you for continually making such great content! ♥

TIP: YOU CAN ADD THE SAME PATTERN TO MULTIPLE BUNDLES! I have bundles by person I would knit it for, and then anything I would knit for me is just labeled more like you have in yours. If I like a sweater for myself and I could see myself knitting one for my sis, I'll add them to both bundles!

@@WOOLNEEDLESHANDS I realized very quickly I was going into the pattern searching process with a person in mind, and was spending tons of time going through looking for things the recipent would like within more traditional categories. Now I can just scroll through things pre-screened just for them and decide what looks fun for me to make!

Thanks! I definitely need to organize my favorites into bundles. Currently I have a system of making a “note” when I favorite an item, for instance, I will note that it would I be good for advent mini skeins and then I can go to my favorites and search for the word “mini” or “advent” and all those projects will come up.

Love the tips and the thought you put into it. My "queue" has like 100 items and is completely overwhelming - just kind bums me out when I look at it, but I still want to make 90% of the items. I have an android phone so 🤞. If not, maybe my tablet would be best. Also very excited for Felix Kal. Already have two but they are my most worn sweaters. Need more! Thanks Tayler!

Thanks! I did not know about Ravit! Also I sort of do this already: queue is strictly for specific knitting plans and favorites are for things I like or would buy the pattern to knit in the future, but I'd only split it into 3 bundles and kept meaning to chunk it up better. This was the motivation I need!

Idea for another video!!!!! I am a member of a yarn subscription club. They have a discussion board and a place where you can submit photos for prizes. A thread? I have found it once and maybe I’m doing something wrong but it’s very hard to find.

I had no idea this app even existed - thank you so much for sharing! I have a queue of over 350 items 😱 so I may need to re-think this and use my favourites differently instead 🤔. I've got a pretty good system in my library where I categorise by type of garment as well as yarn weight. I'll have to see if I can get the same categories set up in my favourites, that'll occupy a few hours!

I use my queue for patterns that I’ve purchased the yarn for but haven’t started. I like the pattern to the yarn that’s in my ravelry stash.

My Ravelry notebook, queue etc has changed over the many years! Before I had internet at home, I’d print & queue patterns I liked. Then I’d save the digital (pdf or document) to my laptop, organizing - like you do, into “bundles”, or files. In Ravelry Library, in the pattern, you can create a “sub set”. Ex: Have Pattern or Must Get or Made … etc. Which you can see thru the Ravelry Library (on the left hand side of screen). I would have to knit w hands, toes, ears for a few hundred years to make alllll that I WANT to make!!! lol I will spend a lonnnnng time deleting (older) patterns that don’t appeal to me now. And then…. sigh… I add more! I also need to delete similar patterns where only the yarn is different, pattern is basically the same(asymmetrical triangle shawls, fingerless mitts…) Agree that “overwhelming” is perfect ! And I guess the Stash is (almost) this way, too. But. It’s soooo much f.u.n.

Yes! Absolutely. You can do the same thing on the website. I’m just using my tablet here for ease of filming. 👍

This is a good question. I’m pretty sure it’s a one time fee. I know that I’m not paying anything monthly for Ravit. 👍

Sorry if someone asked this already, but why would you use bundles instead of tags? Tags seem much more flexible.

So you can still search your favorites using tags. However when it comes to organizing then by category, I like the structure of having bundles.

Idk why but I downloaded the app and even got the subscription but I doest give me the bundles tab. I have bundles made and can see them on the computer but not from the app. Kinda disappointed. I was really hoping this would work for me since I mainly use ralvery on my phone. I have noticed I am also missing the "fourms" tab at the bottom 🤷‍♀️

@@ericabeardmore8703 annoyingly, I think that may be why. I’ve heard that the app on Android is missing some elements. I didn’t realize how much it actually is missing. Good to know, but it sucks that these features aren’t readily available to you.
