Every single piece of litter is a person who doesn't give a shit. If I lived in those houses by the path I would clean up, despite how frustrated the littering would make me. People don't have any pride in their surroundings any more. Thanks for cleaning up Chilli.

What a mess. That strip between the wall and the fence could be so beautiful with some plantings and some basic maintenance. I need to get one of those small rakes for my litter picking. We need places to recycle vapes in the U.S.

What a roller coaster of an episode, finding the brush, whipping out a secret mini rake and then the heart stopping moment where the brush broke!! I sometimes wonder how a faceless man picking up trash and beeping at cars as become my most anticipated video drop off the week. 😆 but I love it! My son asked me today "do we ever get to see his face" I shook my head... "no son never..." Monday I do my induction with the council so I can start litter picking myself... my husband thinks I am crazy 😆😆

I started off thinking it was a bit strange that you were trying to sweep off the top, but after seeing just how much little stuff there was I'm sure you saved a massive amount of time doing it that way. And right after I was thinking you could use a rake, you pulled one out. Way to be prepared!

I have taken notice where bins are supplied, when those bins get filled people just throw it on the ground instead of taking it home with them! Proof also that people have not educated their children to not litter! Over time those children grew up snd had children of their own, all litterbugs!

How can people live in front of that everyday 🫣

Chilli if only everyone was as “weird” as you ! The complacency of people standing around astounds me and as for the residents how can they simply accept that view ? I see your MP is John McDonnell. What has he got to say about the state of his constituency ? What does he do all day ? This is a major issue just ignored apparently. Chilli you put them all to shame and what a lovely idea to sow wild flower seeds but you would probably end up raking them all up to access the litter next year. 😇🚮

Question. In my city Anchorage Alaska, company's will designate a certain part of a highway, as their employee project to clean and keep clean. The city will usually erect a sign along that stretch of highway with a sign that says which company is responsible for cleaning up that street / highway. Does your city do anything similar?

Why don’t you ask Princess Kate to take on the English Canals beautification as her mission in the next decade? You know, Lady Bird Johnson …. Wife of Pres. Lyndon Johnson, made improving and beautifying the Texas roads and highways …. Planting roadsides with wildflower seeds. She sponsored the Texas Wildlife Flower Farm where a young man was in charge of the propagation of the flower plants and harvesting the seeds for the Highway Dept. Each little Texas town even got involved and received the seeds from state funded seed purchasing and distribution out of the Wildflower Farm. When living in Central Texas, we went every spring to see the huge fields of seed planted “mother” plants in bloom! A magical sight!!! Wild poppies, blue bonnets, Indian paint brushes… all native to Texas. The same business model could be done with native English countryside flowers… growing them as the Texas Wildflower Farm grows and harvests their seeds. It is a beautiful partnership between private enterprise and the government❣️ The English canals remind me so much of Texas’ beloved River Walk … also a partnership in beautification between private enterprises and government. It was once a dirty open sewer and became a treasure to Texans and tourists worldwide. There are river boat rides, elegant dinner boat excursions … Because of the Spanish/Mexican culture in San Antonio, it is particularly lovely at Christmas when little children dressed. In red robes and big bows and hats are seated in the gondolas and singing Christmas carols to guitar music …. We had a dinner at a restaurant that sat people on their riverside terrace for dining and watching the children and Mexican bands entertainment. We observed an elaborate wedding held in that public setting that was so heavy with Mexican traditions one thought they were back in Ol’ Mexico!!! So much could be replicated where you are…..

I found my first syringes last week. They were on the ground outside the rodeo grounds so I think they were from animal use but still they shouldn't have been there.

Seeing you use that little rake and the broom makes me think you should be allowed to do the same every where….. Use a three pronged hook/rake to pull out the rubble and be permitted to bag the grass, leaves and little twigs that come with each rake-full! The counsel needs to buy you a backpack vacuum to clean up cigarette butts and bottle caps and as much of the cans and bottles as possible…. And leaves etc that comes with it! Stairs are disgusting!!!!
