I love all your adventures Captain but I really enjoy the ones where you interact with the locals. I loved watching how those fellows used both old and new technology to mill lumber from the tree they cut down. Take care of that cold and above all, keep on sailing! ⛵🌴😎

Thanks!! I loved seeing the way they absolutely killed it with their milling. I worked milling logs with a chainsaw mill in Washington state for a bit. We used to jig and it was still hard work

Another great video Holly. What a great time it must be hanging with the locals and learning how they get by with much less than the modern conveniences we landlubbers take for granted. Someday I hope to do the same. Every time you smile, it makes me smile. Its obvious how much you enjoy this lifestyle and I shall remain envious...I can't wait for the next episode. Until then, happy sailing!

Nice to watch something I don't do: Kiting... In my younger days I've done quite a lot of chainsaw work mostly for clearing fallen trees and firewood... I could never see myself quarter sawing a tree for lumber that looks great... those guys were amazing... You teased with the diving... didn't see any lobster harvesting... Hmmm... anyway was another great vid and good to see you have crew...! Fair Winds...

Hey holly that cable looks like solid core domestic cable you would find in a house this may get metal fatigue and fail due to vibration from the engine it would be better to use stranded core cable if you have it this would be alot less likely to fracture take it easy see you on the next one

Unsolicited tip 157, I have found lanolin lightly smeared or better lanolin spray stops the green wire death and helps with any galvanic action between different metals. More user friendly and effective than the old WD.

Yet another cool video but also disturbing. To see large trees chopped down just to construct a lodge is shocking to see . One would have thought that there would be some education programs regarding this on the Islands and also controlling regulations. Trees on Islands play a tremendous role in the survival of the habitat as island soils are mostly poor. But in the extensive root migration, some very interesting exchange of sugars and moisture find place, supporting not only the trees but also the other plant species. Well, paradise found, paradise lost they say. The next generation may wonder why their Island is completely empty. Once the trees go,the rest follow extremely fast.

Ye sad how people are. That tree was old and healthy just sad. Even in warm climate doing this where just shelter from sticks and leaves would suffice. Just building vain sh*t. Vain
