I'm from Canada and longest I've waited to vote was 25 mins MAX. It seems insane that they have so few polling stations that people have to take an entire day to wait in line to vote.

@@jonathanmorgancharleson4262 You have almost 10× the people to vote but also the same amount more people to be poll workers.

It is NOT widespread. Most places are not like that. I'm from Fairfax County, just outside DC, and we don't wait more than a few minutes here. ZERO WAIT this year at our station!

Even worse now, freaking congressional districts are taking 4-5 weeks to call. Only 600-700k residents compared to the millions in Florida back in 2000. To think Florida learned its lesson but not freaking the rest of the U.S.

I came to the US thru political asylum system in 02 from Colombia and the bush years were all i knew but I remember really the only exposure of US presidents are what i learned in how the bush Sr and clinton both helped Colombia fight the war on narcotrafficking. Love the vid and im a Gore fan.

It’s all a crazy story when we think of it. I could never really see gore as president but he was literally that close and it came down to the candidates brother and the man who was supposed to be running for president and campaign partner to deliver the final say

Ridiculous! Voters are not being marginalized based on the color of their skin.

i am entirely convinced that the Elián González matter sealed then-VP Al Gore's political fate in 'The Sunshine State,' particularly the ensuing aftermath that arose from the pre-dawn raid that occurred at the Miami, FL house of Elián's paternal great-uncle Lázaro back in April 2000. Then again, Gore was not helping matters for himself when he sought to placate the right-wing Cuban exile community. The fact that the right-wing leaders of the Cuban exile community sought to use the plight of the then-five/six year-old lad as a means to rekindle their longstanding political feud with Fidel Castro was in and of itself so morally reprehensible.

I’m scared of a Bush v Gore situation in November. Trump’s nominees and other conservative justices ruling in favor of him
