Butterball was always my favorite one because in the first movie he just awkwardly stands around. All the other ones get voice lines (if you count the Chitterer's clicking) and act all menacing while Butterball just vibes.

Met Simon Bamford (Butterball) this past weekend at Monster-Mania 38. Bamford said the tongue thing came from trying to emote through the mask. When he first got the makeup, he couldn't see through it and so he tried to do emotions in front of Doug Bradley (Pinhead) and Bradley said nothing was happening through the mask, so Bamford started sticking his tongue out. The whole gash in his belly was just him having fun because he said it reminded him of a vagina. LOL

Thanks. This was my third time going to this horror convention. It was great to meet Doug Bradley, Simon Bamford, Barbie Wilde, Nicholas Vince, and Ashley Laurence. Some of the cast from Saw was there too. Tobin Bell, Betsy Russell, and Dina Meyer. CJ Graham (Jason part 6), Andrew Divoff (Wishmaster 1 and 2), Sharni Vinson (You're Next), Rose McGowan, Dean Cain, Adrienne Barbeau, Michael Biehn, Malcolm McDowell, the Soska Twins, and a few others were all there too.

i know. From the Lament Configuration and the behilit, to the appearance and the description that they give about themselves, "angels to some, demons to others". PLUS the creature they all serve, the Godhand serve the great evil that's basically formless, and the cenobites serve the leviathan. I've also now confirmed it, the author has explicitly said that hellraizer was a source of inspiration for them apparently.

I was thinking the same thing. I think berserk the managa premiered in '89, but don't quote me on that. Personally, I perfer berserk. One of my favorite shows and manga ever.

I found Hellraiser on the side of the road on VHS without a label in 1986 when I was six years old. . . I would tell the other kids about it and lo and behold I had to talk to the school counselor twice a week.

Wow, I did the pinhead sculpt for Sideshow you have as your pic as well as hell priestess that Clive signed off on.Two of my proudest pieces for the man himself. I am hugely honored that you used it. Mr H Reviews ... continue doing the other Cenobites because Hellraiser 2 beginning and redemptions pretty much explained their pre-Cenobites images. As far as Butterball (with eyes sown shut) from the first Hellraiser movie I didn't associate him with being "obese or gluttony abusive" but just his own ways to be part of that monstrous "box Leviathan foursome (or part of five if you include that hideous baby screaming Engineer with tail walking on walls and ceilings)!" Butterball too loved pain with eyes sewn shut (seeing sinful things making one act sinfully notions of pluck thy eye out)! Clive Barker wanted people to digest those Cenobites before adding more in more Hellraiser movies (because Hellraiser 2 explained sort of seeing their more human side pre-Cenobites)! Pinhead in each successive Hellraiser movies (3 and on to 9) just served to be the "ringleader" to incorporate other Cenobites suited to those other stories to be told!

Hey dude, love your videos, but if you can't find enough information about the others you could try and do a slightly longer video (5-8 minutes) and cram all the others in there. It be better to at least name them rather than disregard them entirely. And again, really enjoy your videos.

In the book, "The Engineer" is the one to reclaim the cube. They are described as human shaped with a cone of light/fire for a head. I believe its the same character, just imagined differently for film (just like how Pinhead had a feminine voice and all of its pins were jewel encrusted and beautiful)

Would you mind doing videos on entities from the Elder Scrolls like Hermaeus Mora, Anumidium and Dagoth Ur? Or maybe the Pandora Virus from the upcoming Phoenix Point game?
