i use both he pronouns and she pronouns, depending on how im feeling. im pretty sure people in this are gonna give me massive shit for it but i dont care at this point. misgendering people on purpose is not okay. whether someone is non-binary, genderfluid, bigender, agender, transgender, or has any other way that they identify you need to respect that. but if not, i suppose i can just constantly call you by the wrong name and pronoun and ask about your sexuality at random inappropriate times because you "look like you could be gay". oh and of course if you say that youre cisgendered i could always say 'thats disgusting. you should be gassed.'

I don't understand my gender. It's weird. My sex is of a girl.i don't feel like I was with the wrong body necessarily. Just the wrong mindset. I don't mind people calling me she/her because I grew up with it. I'm used to it, but I like they/them better. I don't know what's wrong with me.

Something I always loved about the Slam Poetry community is the wide and vast community's and culture and people. Gay poem? Audience yells "preach" as you vent about homophobia. Black? The audience snaps and cheers as you talk about racism. Depressed? The audience cries and claps as they hear your brave journey. The audience never cared how you look, no matter the size, the tattoos, the piercings, the hair, the skin, the sexuality, the gender. They see you and your poem as a masterpiece and they listen to you, when sometimes your own family won't listen to you vent

All of the people who think that grammar rules are more important than a person's comfort make me sad. How can a language be worth more than a human life? Will we start to reject everyone who uses language a little differently? Words change and evolve all the time. People who are non-binary and feel more comfortable with plural pronouns seem like a pretty good reason for us to change our language. We've done it for far stupider reasons. We've done it for no reason at all. People are worth more than words.

Wow. This is some really powerful stuff. Not just Ollie's words, but the way they dictate them... Incredible. Ollie certainly has a talent. This really moves me. I will admit, I am very limited in knowledge in this community, but because of the people I interact with regularly I am constantly trying to better educate myself, and this really helped do that. It really isn't a matter of being born in the wrong body, it is a matter of societal views. I feel like I was able to take a lot from this poetry/spoken word. It was not only informative, but passionate and enjoyable. Amazing.

As a dfab Nonbinary myself, I totally understand what Ollie goes through. A very small percentage of people know what being Nonbinary means, and even other Transgenders. Sex roles literally get shoved down our throats, and it's very stressful. People who think you should stick with your "true gender" frustrate me daily. Only a handful of people use my correct pronouns, no matter how many times I explain to people. I'm hoping to see other Transgender people speak up like Ollie, because we need more people like them to spread awareness.
