Modern women, regardless of color, can act the same. The spirit of the age has caused women to act like this and are losing at life. Having said that, studying attitudes and dispositions of women regardless of origin just makes you safer.

As a woman, this pushback against strong and independent feminism made my life so much better. My whole life I felt like a failure because I never had a career and never did too well at any fulltime job I’ve had. I focus more now on being feminine and nurturing my husband and we’re both happier for it. I’m no longer embarrassed for not being a “boss bish.”

That’s the part that everyone seems to forget. When it gets down to it, in reality, people *dont* want to respect women when they choose family and raising children. All of a sudden you’re a cop out to the idea of the “strong independent woman” when it takes a lot of strength to choose *any* path in life for yourself and be happy with it.

I relate to your comment heavily. Kevin has helped me to own my role as a housewife CONFIDENTLY. Instead of trying to find my usefulness by trying to create my own income, my value now…is in my man’s happiness, our happinesses, making sure he’s pleased, being his peace, ect…& taking care of our home. I look forward to catering to my husband every week when he comes into town from work. I love being under his leadership.

@sahra Khasim wrong! Feminism never was about choice. One of the founding mothers, a certain French woman once said women should not be allowed to choose because they will decide to stay at home if given the choice. Look it up, she even put it in a book

I apologize for my mic having issues earlier (never had that problem before). Id love to thank you for helping me become a better wife, mother, woman, and friend. I got a message from a friend this morning who was thanking me and telling me that she had been thinking about the questions I asked her last week. Her and her husband got into a big fight and she began contemplating divorce. They haven’t been married for a full year and they just had their first child, a son, 3 months ago. I asked her if she really wanted to put herself in a situation where she’d be looking for a step father and I brought up the fact that boys shouldn’t be raised by women, that’s a man’s job and why it’s important for boys to have their fathers around. Now they are working on things! God bless you and have a great vacation! I wish you and your family a beautiful and happy day!

I have male friends that grew up without a father and were raised by mothers that hated men. they grow up resenting BOTH parents and making terrible choices in their teens and ultimately make the same decisions as their parents sort of like a cycle.

@@branflakee4257 My brother and I were raised by our mom and I can spot so many issues within my own life that I know wouldn’t be there if I had a father. My brother for sure would be much better off too if he had a father. Granted his father was and still is a drug addict who threatened to kill us and beat my mother on multiple occasions. But now my brother is 21 years old and he’s only worked 1 job for less than 6 months. He still lives with my mom free of responsibilities and plays games all day. It’s really sad to have watched grow up that way and he’s over 300lbs now. I’ve even tried talking with my mother about the situation and how she still treats him like a baby. I just hope that some day soon she gives him the boot or something. It’s hard to watch the situation unfold. I’m thankful to have seen the wrong decisions that my mom made and at a very young age I decided that I wanted to do everything the exact opposite of her. I did get married extremely young at 19 and we started our family immediately after the wedding. Now I’m 22 and have been married for almost 4 years. We have 2 boys and can not be happier together. @@ThisBraveHeart this is the whole thing, my dear one. You were wise beyond your years and truly acted in her best interests to give her council that pushed her back toward her husband and family. It’s critical that newly married young couples keep friends that push the couple back together when they have a fight. Your good friends should take the side of your spouse if you complain about a fight, because you need someone to push you to work through it. A big fight isn’t the signal of the end, it’s a storm. Be a good man in a storm.

At the time of that video a year ago, I had just turned 25. I am 10 years younger than the woman in the original video. At first, I was questioning who this man was versus why he was speaking to her in the tone that he was. I went to Kevin’s channel, scrolled down to the video uploaded before the “Average at Best” video and began to study him. After that video, I scrolled down to a video that was 3 years old at the time. He was speaking to men the same way, if not more harshly. I discovered he had saying for both men and women, “you can’t make this sh*t up” and the forever classic “the nerve of you niggas.” Long story short, I immediately fell in love with his dialogue. We NEED to hear this as black women. I love you like a father, sir. Please keep preaching the good word and holding us accountable.

I despise it when people in the West create false narratives about African marital relationships. This woman jumped on here to talk about twinlineal and nonsense like that. I'm West African and I've never heard that word before (meaning it's not that common even if it were true). Besides, by far, marital relations have always been a male-led institution, even in my tribe which is considered 'matrilineal', it is only matrilineal in that children inherit through their mothers' brother (their uncle). Yet, you have people in US who have barely ever been to West Africa manufacturing concepts and claiming things were different before the Europeans came. Always trying to blame them for anything they dislike. It truly gets annoying.

I apologize for our ignorance. I too, hate when people who have NEVER experienced something try to argue what they “heard” about other cultures. I’m American, but I’ve traveled to Africa and other parts of the world and actually humbled myself and asked the locals to share their culture with me with an opened mind. No judgment or “why y’all doing it like that?” Just an honest willingness to embrace whatever that experience would yield. And the experiences were INCREDIBLE! And in my time spent in Africa, I too, never heard of anything she mentioned. As you mentioned, the marriages I witnessed were male-led. Thank you for speaking out and correcting the young lady. People are too quick to throw around their nonsense nowadays with zero evidence to support their claims.

That first caller lied about the West African relationship culture. She's 100% American and has not learned the mother continent enough to even have an opinion about this. Here in Traditional West Africa everything starts from the family lead by the father. The father of the suitor comes to consult the father for the potential bride for deliberations. When that stage is arranged, the dowry is negotiated. Then the next stage is the ceremony that represents transferring the custody of daughter from father's protection to husband's protection. In my particular clan, the groom will have go through 7 men (including the bride's brothers) to prove he has what it takes to protect the bride. In ancient times this was real hardcore fight to reach the woman on the other side. But these days they make it easier, less formal and fun. My point is that after all these processes, the man is given full authority of possessing, protecting and providing for the woman and future children. The groom earns the right to the bride is the groom remains the head of the family and that's the traditional structure. It doesn't mean she's a slave but she's not an equal partner for her own good

A college degree is not an education. It’s a certificate. It can serve as proof of education. But it’s a certificate. It certifies that you sat in some classrooms for satisfactory periods of time. It doesn’t certify that you weren’t the dumbest to do so. It certifies that you passed your quizzes, midterms and finals. It doesn’t certify that you didn’t cheat to pass, took multiple attempts to pass, or that the materials in the exams were even worth a crap. That’s why you got so many graduates in the streets demanding their debt cancelled, stripping, driving UBERS, pouring up venti Frappuccinos - they got ripped off. The things they were taught serves nobody. It’s indoctrination, not education. Some fields - biology, geology, law, etc. are clearly material majors for the real world. Afro-Cuban prison HipHop 101 is clearly not. Thus, Ms. Igotaphd is most often the least educated. Degree and education are not the same thing.

As someone with a bachelors degree in business administration, I could not agree more! I thought my degree made me intelligent and competent in my field, with little to no practical experience. I could not have been more wrong. Now, 21 years later, I can finally consider myself to be somewhat educated and intelligent. I’m not saying college degrees are useless, but they are not a silver bullet for success in life!

Can’t tell you how many finance majors crumble the second they try the market while someone who used to be a pro musician runs circles around them in the same field. It’s almost like their musical(multi tasking skills)and soft skills training prepared them more for the finance career than the actual school just taking their money and not caring if they’re at level. They can’t take that first bad trade(rejection) while that musicians been dealing with rejection their whole life and is more trained in getting past failure. A skill they don’t teach you in school. Musician is just one of many examples. I’ve met many trade workers that understand economics and finance way more than the people who actually studied it. Kind of like the military. There are the officers making plans while never setting foot on a battlefield only to be ignored by the guys on the ground who actually know what’s up and don’t wanna die following a non combatants orders.

Due to daylight savings, I fall asleep waiting, and wake up at 2am to listen. I drift off and start again at dawn. I'm addicted. And yes, much has changed this last year. I have lost 15 pounds (10 more to go/plant based) and i see men in a different light. I knew they were simple creatures, but i never knew having peace was so high on their list of needs. Hey Kevin. Just wanted to give you some respect cause to be honest, several of the things you talk about are right on the money as far as what I have been able to cultivate on my own and you confirm some of the things that I had thoughts about. The modern woman and the modern man; the stuff makes sense. I like to keep things real and ironically, people tend to live in an illusion. Correct me if I am wrong. I acknowledge that you have the experience and I feel as though we tend to be on the same page. I say keep up the good work. In my perspective, I feel as though its better to be honest about it rather than candy coat it. Its not to be mean or to look down on anyone. It goes without saying that you are just trying to help everybody and yet, theres always one that feels the need to contend with you. I say its a take it or leave it situation, but you arent saying what you say for no reason, so people should at least listen to what you have to say. I myself am a Man and intend to carry myself as such. I have my flaws, but im willing to better myself as a person. Work smarter not harder. If there is someone that is willing to help, why go against it just cause someone "feels" some type of way you know? Props from my end Mr. Samuels. We honestly would have a very fruitful intellectual discussion and I am confindent I can learn a lot from you. 👍

Best way to do it is plug your woman into your frame and routine with a little bit of leniency. She either plays ball or she doesn't. If you really want to check her character take her with you to serve your community every once and a while. Somewhere like a soup kitchen, a woman who is not willing to serve others has bad character and is not fit for any kind of commitment

I spent 7 years arguing with my wife. One day I said: Enough - you can leave, I’ll stay to look after our son. A week passed, the efforts to sidestep, minimize, reset, deflect and blame shift ended in one sentence: “we can’t move forward, LIVE IN THE DISCOMFORT”… the penny dropped. 2 weeks later; I told her I needed some pepper.. When she actually remembered to just get the pepper, instead of lecture me on the male entitlement; I saw the container in the cupboard, made the food, and gave the whole thing to her without even thinking. For the first time in 7 years, she got something without asking, by cooperating without criticizing.
