C350 V6 OM642 Oil & Filter Change including LIQUI Moly Engine Flush

Giving my 2013 V6 C350 W204 3.0 Mercedes a Engine oil and filter change treat! in this video we use for the very first time LIQUI Moly Engine Flush and a additional 8L of oil to help clean and rinse the engine. The engine version is a V6 OM642.

Diesel engines are always like that after a oil change. there nothing like a gas engine clean oil... when you change the oil it will always be jet black there is no way of getting around it with diesel engines and the oil you used to flush the engine cleaner out... that oil is brand new nothing wrong with it it may have a tiny bit of residue left nothing to really worry about 😊

Nice video mate,great job,shocked at that flush oil,was blacker that I ever expected! Be interesting to see if you notice any difference in the drive of the car after this job Top work man 😎

Thanks for the comment Paul, I was honestly shocked to see how black that oil was after the first lot of fresh had been added... as for it making a noticeable difference, maybe slightly but am not sure... certainly no great difference... mrix

Still all running well following the flush? Have to say a real result finding your channel, I also have a C350d w204, mines a 2012 so brilliant finding a UK channel with how to’s on the same car/engine. Like you I service it myself. 👍🏻

Hello and thanks for the comment, yes all running well however I dont suspect I will ever use LIQUI Molly again as I dont suspect I will have the car long enough to be worth while doing it again etc, I am not thinking of changing the car any time soon but I will certainly be using the flush oil on all oil changes required moving forward, as you can see by the video it was shocking to see how dirty the oil was after the first change..... mrix

Oh at last a diy channel for the v6. Have the same engine e 350 and your videos are a great motivation for me to go diy. Tired of spending money on things I could do on my own fairly easily. Could you talk about the tools you most frequently use on your engine. Must haves.. Thanks

Hello, its surprising how easy some of the jobs are once you gain a little confidence and the huge amount of money you save is fantastic! ie: fitting wheel sensors would of cost me £700 at the Mercedes garage but I fitted them for £80..... its also a great sense of achievement doing the job and saving that amount.... all the very best in your DIY repairs.....mrix

@@mrix I am working on diagnosing a jumpy hesitating acceleration. Going to start with replacing the air filters...diy... No check engine light and have got the maf and glow plugs replaced to no avail £££ 😑

Sorry for the late response, your post was held in a review state for some reason, any how I too had the same issue you had with hesitation at low speeds, I also replaced the glow plugs and air filters but with no resolve, My issue ended up being moisture in the fuel, apparently its very common, I basically drove the car until almosy empty and replaced the fuel filter also... it worked for me.... all the best....mrix

You would be better of using 1 L of diesel fuel,,I find it works better than anything else..Molly will loosen up larger chunks of gunk that may end up clogging up the oil pick up tube..resulting in engine damage.

As I mentioned in the video the topic can be a little controversial to use LIQUI Moly or not, I did read around and noticed that some use diesel fuel like yourself but I never really read too much around about it so decided to go with what was more popular. I think I will simply use the additional oil change from now on as the car has now had its first flush after 90,000miles etc.... thanks for the feedback much appreciated....mrix

@@mrix Hello, if you are comfortable with this vehicle, I have the opportunity to buy a C 350 CDI in a combi version with a similar mileage. I don't know whether to go for it. Regards, Peter
