Hello Pilates lovers, C6 C7 Herniated Disc Neck Pain and Weakness Exercises Relief www.backmasterclass.com/gener...

⏩ www.anniepilatesphysicalthera... .
This video a combination of Pilates and physical therapy treatment , neck stretching with a scarf, towel, a soft pillow to lie down on , gentle nerve glides, strengthening by isometrics and gentle stretching, instant pain relief that is going down your hands and arms.
If you are having pain on your neck, usually one sided after prolonged sitting, driving, typing in your computer, looking down at your cellphone and some household tasks such as vacuuming and mopping activities that require repetitive movements. Sometimes pain gets really bad that there is pain going down your arm all the way to your fingertips depending on the nerve that is affected and the most common is the C6-C7 so i made a specific video for that level of disc herniation. I also discussed the different grades of disc herniation and how to relieve the inflammation on this most common herniated area. This is also doable to other level of disc herniation, just place the towel or scarf on the level of your irritation at the back of your neck for the gentle stretching and pull. This video is about a treatment plan to target 3 major nerves coming from you neck that are being pinched due to wrong posture, injury, chronic pain and stiffness that could be cause by work, sedentary lifestyle, prolonged forward head from screen time (cellphone, computer , TV, tablets) The 3 major nerves are Median, Ulnar and Radial Nerve, and in this video i will also explain in detail how to glide them that will eventually help the inflammation, pain and pinched on your nerves. I will also show in the end how to stretch your neck muscles. I incorporated the Pilates based and Physical therapy exercises combination. You could also check my Piriformis syndrome if you are also having pinch nerve or sciatica, you could check my playlist for Sciatica. Usually it is hand in hand with neck pain .
Here is the link of my previous video with a title Low Back Pain with Sciatic Nerve irritation Pilates based Physical Therapy exercises • Low Back Pain with Sci... . I recommend to do this video as well to help stretch your spine as well if the piriformis stretching still causing sciatic nerve pain irritation.
Annie uses her experience as a physical therapist and Pilates instructor to guide a Pilates specific routine with a program to target difficult to treat diagnosis such as neck and low back pain with nerve involvement.
The video only has 3 simple nerve glides , gentle neck stretching and strengthening . After doing this for at least once a week, and once the radiculopathy decreases then you are ready for this gentle progression. • Cervical Herniated Dis...
Please leave a comment for any specific question or concern about this video.
Thank you and enjoy!

For the longest time.. I didn't know what was wrong with me. ER sending me home with anti-depressants while my left arm is going numb with extreme chest pains. I diagnosed myself after sitting and waiting to have a chiropractor look at me. The chart on the wall pointed straight to the nerve and muscles that were getting numb. It was like a lightning bolt from god telling me "hey buddy you'll be ok..now it's time to work on this C7"... after 20 years of not knowing what's wrong with me I finally have some help from gifted people like Annie. She is not the first to help me and probably not the last. I have learned more here and I thank you so much for equipping me even more with the skills you provide. I will beat this. like,sub,hugggs!!

Hi Annie thank you for sharing your knowledge in helping myself and others. The only exercise that causes me discomfort is the chin tuck towards the aggravated side. All the others feel good to do. I have a curvical spine MRI appointment soon so hopefully it'll confirm what my chiropractor and doctors believe to be a C6/7 disk/neck pain. 5 weeks and counting so hopefully I'll start to recover as the weeks go by. Thanks again

A great combination of exercises. Highly recommend this routine to start or end your day. Also, for those with major weakness in the neck or core muscles, I would recommend taking her advice on sticking to the gliding and stretching for 7-10 days before moving into any strengthening exercises. It can really help make sure you have proper mobility, which will insure you engage and strengthen the muscles correctly and prevent weeks of recovery from potential injury.

Thank you. I’ve suffered with a C6/7 left focal protrusion for around 15 years now, and this is by far the best set of comprehensive exercises I’ve ever seen. The NHS originally sent me home with just 3 neck stretch exercises to do, which whilst helping, aren’t enough when flare ups occur. Thank you so much. I feel at ease already.

@mrfurmston
@mrfurmston 9 ай бұрын
I’ve been told if it gets continually worse then, yes. However, regular exercise and movement like this has prevented me from feeling the need to get surgery. The operation is quite invasive, leaving a slashed scar across the front of the neck, so would only consider it if desperate.

@jbill2986
@jbill2986 Жыл бұрын
Count down from cervical (neck) base of spine. C5 is breathing and near where shoulders join. C6 and C7 are the joints below, right before thoracic (chest) spine starts. Anterior is fancy for "front", so sounds like your disc is pushing forward.

That’s all mine have been for now 5 months. It has gotten better since I started cranial sacral therapy and manual therapy but I’m not fully healed. Do my symptoms mean that the budge is towards the spine? I’ve heard people going to a chiropractor but I’m scared to do that because it’s so aggressive.

Hi Annie. My first disc herniation was back in 2008. Since then I've re-herniated it twice. The last time was from a fall in Oct/22. I've been in severe pain every day since, to be exact, over 7 months of suffering. It was trying to heal in early may until I started coughing hard and made it worse. I'm doing all sorts of exercises and isometrics. I've seen a massage therapist with little results and am now seeing a Chiropractor and am on my 2nd visit this June/23. I spoke to a neurosurgeon who after seeing my MRI results admits it's bad but sadly he won't operate. Thank you for sharing, I'm not a quitter.

Hello Madam. Is this exercise also good for the numbing/tingling arm and hand, shoulder blade pain and shoulder pain? I have a mild C5,6,7 disc bulge in my MRI. My neurologist said just a while ago that I am now normal but I need only an active physiotherapist. Please help, thanks a lot.

You mentioned a strength training video for after doing these exercises. Do you have the link for it please? I have c5-c6 and c6-c7 disc prolapse and will try your exercises. But would you know if doing these exercises will cure it? Or does this only get worse as I am still yet to speak to my doctor and not sure of what this means for me 😢 thanks for this video

Hello I really don't know who to ask and I'm really concerned about my dad's health with his spine which has been degrading, my dad has been in really bad accidents and has been hit by cars on his bike 3-4 times severely in the last 15 years, his C6-C7 MRI scan shows that nerves are pushing in on this area pinching and compressing them, he has severe pain everyday like he's in real agony, every Neurosurgeon says he need private insurance to get surgery which he can't afford, and the public hospital tells him that he has to wait 12 months to be seen, he says that he won't last that long with the pain he has, he's on painkillers but they do nothing and everytime we call an ambulance they just send him home with painkillers, he does exercises on the neck and back to see if any relief will come from them but has no luck, what do you recommend he should do, will these exercises help, I'm really worried about him and no professional doctor seems to care and been on strong pain medication for that long could ruin his kidneys and liver.
