This really helped me today. Thank you. I am so glad I found it this morning. Have had constant pain moving around in my ribs for months and now only when I move in certain positions, such as doing chest / heart openings in yoga. So feels like something might be improving. I have tight ribs in the morning. When the pain comes it takes my breath away through pinching and it is both left and right sides. Does this sound like costochondritis?

If you have an umbilical hernia you are NOT supposed to be doing any core exercises. This is medical science 101. Please don't do this program, you will make things much worse.

You can exercise if you have a hernia. The key is focusing on exercises that won't strain the area where your hernia is located, actually lifting exercises is what to avoid , lifting routines that place undue pressure on the abdominal region if you have an abdominal hernia

I’m confused on the breathing at the beginning, are you pushing the fingers in while expanding the diaphragm out? Or are we sucking in on the inhale? Im used to diaphragm breathing that’s why I’m asking, wanna do this correctly 🙂

My left iliopsoas is so tight I could barely do the hip opening during downward dog. Also, I fell my stomach tighten on the left side during the bridge. The whole left side is tighter. Tighteness goes up into the neck.

Is this safe for SI joint dysfunction or will it stretch out the ligaments? Can I do this workout wearing an SI belt or I should remove it for the workout? Last one: I've been working on breathing with my PT. They said my TVA is incredibly weak. I have psoas dysfunction, as well, thanks to SI joiny dysfunction. So I'm trying to follow your breathing. It feels different than what they are telling me. There's a few different breathing techniques they showed me. They said I need to get stacked; my 2nd diaphragm and my pelvic floor diaphragm. 2nd is weak. Pelvic floor is tight and probably weak, too. Activation in my stomach for core breathing is weak. So I try to breathe in through nose normally and then breathe out, slowly, using my stomach, not my neck or my ribs (I have left rib flare and right wing scapula). I flatten my ribs and then hold it as I'm breathing out and then slowly breathe in and out through my stomach, expanding to my obliques and another variation where I try to tense the the lower middle abs as I breathe in and out. It's very hard. My activation is weak but it's there. There's another breathing method they taught me where i breathe in and imagine I'm pushing down the 2nd diaphragm and then breathe out normally or breathe out through my stomach, again, not using my neck or my ribs. So what I try to do is flatten the ribs and then do this breathing method. Do you have another video explaining how you breathe, as I'm trying to follow your instructions in this video? I hope to join one of your classes soon that can address SI joint dysfunction and pelvic floor dysfunction (and psoas dysfunction)!

@@AnniePilatesPhysicalTherapist For right now the core strengthening along with hip flexor and glute strengthening videos have been exactly what I needed. Especially the cue to zip up my pelvic floor as I exhale . That was big for me I was actually doing the opposite and pushing down as I exhaled . Another issue I’ve noticed for me is that during crunches my external oblique in the right is not working very well to bring my rib cage down , so my QL takes over instead , I’m guessing from weak external oblique and tight mid back . So maybe a video on strengthen my external oblique so it works properly while at the same time improving my mid va k mobility so that my QL doesn’t get triggered to do my external obliques job . All my issues are on the right side , weak external obliques , hip flexors and glutes. And definitely more of the same hip flexor issues and glute weakness and core disfunción videos, they have helped me me tremendously. Thank you 🙏🏽

Hi Annie, I have a lateral pelvic tilt from carrying kids since I was a teenager. I'm 23 years old now, and I'm trying to correct it. I wanted to know if doing these exercises will also fix my walking. I also walk tilted to the side, and, like you, I have a weak left pelvis. I've been trying to correct this issue for a while now, and so far, your videos have been super helpful. I've been able to examine my posture to determine which side is weak, and I'm more aware of my overall posture. Thank you so much for these videos.

You are a dream! This is right down my alley! I also have low back, mid back, upper back and neck issues. So my case of SI joint dysfunction isnt like most, due to disc issues and even psoas dysfunction which is what's adding to my back and si issues. Do you have any videos to address mid back issues? I have scar or fibrous tissue on my mid back and low back. On the spine. It's why I have back spasms. I need someone who knows graston or astym to get rid of the scar tissue. I dont know any other way to remove it. Hot baths dont do it. If there is a workout which can effectively remove the scar tissue on the spine, I'd love to see it! Do you offer personal coaching sessions?
