Wow what an amazing find this video is !! We travelled on this train from Gstaad to Zweisimmen a week after you made this film. It was a spectacular journey and a complete surprise. We asked at Gstaad station where our guest pass would take us and they replied Zweisimmen so we hopped on the next train. In hindsight we should have stayed on the train on the return journey and gone down to Montreux as we already eaten an early dinner in The Baren hotel in Zweisimmen (thoroughly recommended and half the price of Gstaad !!) and we could have had a train ride evening. We thought we could have a similar train journey from Gruyeres, which was our next stop the next day, but the train timetable wasn't as favourable and wasted too much time. So be warned take the Goldenpass MOB train on the Zweisimmen line not from Gruyeres to Montreux !! 🙂

Thank you for another absolutely wonderful video! The train we passed at Saanenmoser was clearly one of the new 'dual-guage' trains designed for a through Interlaken-Montreux service. As we came into Zweisimmen we passed a BLS locomotive attached to an 'adaptor' carriage. I know that there have been technical problems with these new trains. Are they now running to/from Interlaken?

You are so welcome! Yes, at the moment Goldenpass express between Montreux and Interlaken is running (with occasional cancellations). Edit: On July1, GPX remains faulty and doesn’t run on the complete track (one needs to change at zweisimmen)

Excellent video but I noticed that every few seconds there is a momentary blurring. Is this the cameras auto focus system cutting in. Would it be possible to turn off the system.

Thanks for your feedback. Frankly, we didn’t notice that problem on our screen. Usually we see such problem when we play the video at low internet speed or video at lower resolution.

Очень красивые места! Но меня интересует один вопрос - где люди??? Только на станциях и в автомобилях, а больше нигде никого не видно! Такое впечатление, что поезд проезжает вымершие посёлки и деревни. Не видно ни детей, ни старичков,сидящих возле домов , ни просто жителей, что-то делающих в своих дворах... Как - то всё грустно...

This could have been a better video if the camera angle had been slightly elevated and that would eliminate the distraction on our eyes of the sleepers flashing past in bottom of the screen, on a slow train it doesn't matter so much but that train was travelling quite quickly and I found it actually quite distracting.
