Hello, Kevin. I took your recipe and modified it. I mixed a store-bought bag of vegetable slaw (shredded white and red cabbage, broccoli, and carrots) with a chopped onion, 3 eggs, and 3/4 cup of oat bran. Then I put it in an oiled glass cookpot and baked it at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. When the pie cooled, it shrank and pulled away from the sides of the pot. I turned the pot over, and the pie dropped out intact on a plate. It was nicely cooked and not burnt. It was easy to make and looks, smells, and tastes wonderful. Thanks for posting your video.

I ended up making this two days in a row ! haha I finished it by myself over the course of the first day. I ate a portion of the second one earlier today. I'm using 2 tsp iodized sea salt, 2 tsp curry powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp dry basil, and black pepper of course. I don't like parsley and left that out. I cooked med-low for 12 minutes the first side, then 12 minutes the second side. I wanted the cabbage to be sweet but not too burnt. Plus I used half EVOO, and half veggie oil. Both of them turned out DELICIOUS !! THANK YOU AGAIN !!! LOVE YOUR RECIPES !!! ❤️🤩🥀🙋🏻‍♀️

I am making this today, however due to my intolerance to Grain I am using what I have left of oat flour & adding to that Almond flour to make a full cup, I will also add an extra egg for binding. I have added 2 shredded carrots, half a small cabbage & a big handful of chopped Dandelion leaves cause I don't have parsley & 2 spring onions & one small onion. My Spice is Turmeric salt pepper nutmeg & the zest of one orange plus the juice. This will make this recipe easy for me to eat & help me avoid excessive inflammation. Most foods are highly inflammatory to me so I am opting to reduce my meat intake & switch this out for vegetable proteins. I will put this into lightly oiled oblong baking dish & bake this for about 45 minutes at 350. I cana imagine what it tastes like right now :P~~~

The flipping is easier in a smaller pan. I have an 8 inch pan and use a spatula to flip it. The pie hold its shape better if the cabbage is cut super thin but left long. It also helps if the mix remains a little wet like batter - more eggs or less flour. One of my favorite recipes is with dill and curry.

On my stove right now. I had cabbage, potatoes, ham, hot dogs, pintos, zucchini and onions leftover from last night. I had dumped them all together in a iron pan and heated them then had to rewatch tthis video to see how to use the eggs and flour. So, I've already screwed up but,, finished best that I could and it was good. I can't eat ham or hot dogs without applesauce so that got spooned over the top. It never got really brown due to being steamed instead of fried .But the kids loved it. And the adults said it was good, they finished their servings and got more. Success! I did try to flip this monster and got a ton of it all over the stove and floor. But enough was left to serve for supper and the dogs got a big treat! They usually stand under my feet as I cook since I normally spill something. Thanks for a much better supper than I was going to have - rewarmed variety stuff.

Kevin, as a vegan, I can simply substitute Just Egg for the chicken eggs. I don’t know how I missed this recipe last year. I love cabbage. I can see serving it with a dollop of vegan sour cream either plain or seasoned with chives. Thank you!

Yummy! I made it this morning! I followed exactly, even green onions. I jazzed it up with a spoonful of Kelp Chili Crisp. So good! What a treat!

Very nice Kevin. I subscribed. A very friendly comment: Veg oil and non-stick are a no no. Apart from that > Brilliant! Thank you!

I made this today, and my husband was very dubious, as usual. Until I put it on a toasted, ciabatta roll with melted Havarti and mayo lol!

I must have watched 15 videos on cabbage pie and ended up going with this one. Great detailed information on weights and time. I'd never heard of it before, and it turned out great. Thank you. BTW I have the same limoge set from my uncle. I think it's from the 40's. He bought it from his professor at Cambridge.
