Cable Machine Full Body Workout
Check out a full body workout on the cable machine. I go through 2 pushing exercises. A cable chest press and a cable shoulder press. Two pulling exercises. A cable row and a kneeling high cable row. Two leg exercises. A cable goblet squat and a cable pull through. Lastly, I go over everyone favourite core exercise on the cable machine, woodchoppers.

Haha! Sorry Syri! I don't know how that happened. Luckily my videos since this one are in stereo so whatever the problem was seems to have been fixed 🤷🏼‍♂️

I don't usually post comments - but felt I had to on this occasion. Your tip on reaching over to take a handle grip rather than through, therefore routing under the shoulder rather than over, was an eye opener for me. I have bi-lateral shoulder tendinopathy and have suffered for years (too much training and wrong form in earlier years) My attempts at workarounds have always been difficult and needed constant awareness whilst training. However, this simple change to my grip brought about instant relief to all my cable pressing routines, I have zero pain or discomfort, not the constant strain and aches that I've become accustomed to. All I concentrate on doing is ensuring the handle grip is seated onto the base of my hand to avoid the thumb taking any weight and I'm away. Thank you so much.

Fantastic video explaining all the basic concepts necessary for someone very new trying to learn how to start. Not only a great cable machine workout, but also a basic beginners guide including a full routine that's easy to follow. Thank you.

Thank you so much! This is a simple, clear presentation of basic, easy to replicate movements. I have a cable machine in my complex gym, and this gives me the direction i need to get started with it. Well done, Brian. Thank you!

Wanted to start showing members at the gym how to work the cable machines. I learned most of the weighted machines, but never tried cables. Now I have some idea of which way to face, how to hold the handle, how to position body. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for an excellent presentation on the use of a cable machine. I just installed a wall mount machine and was searching for informative instruction / demonstration to get us started. Both my wife and I would be considered senior citizens times two in age and fortunate to be in good health.

Great instructional video, this is the best I’ve come across. When I travel for work, sometimes this machine is the only thing at my hotel, so this will do the job. Thanks!

Very nice very clear. I can use all of these in the gym and with my smart cable machine. How about an expanded workout that will workout for the Nordictrack Fusion CST and some of the other smart cable systems?

This is a great video. Since you are only using one half the functional trainer, this workout would be great for the wall mount cable towers that are $225 to $350 compared to a full functional trainer that is $1500 to $3000! This is a great "budget workout"!

Thanks for the info. I think cable machines are underrated. Would there be any disadvantage to doing the first exercise with both sides at the same time if your machine has two cables? Would be cool to see a video on exercises that can be done with two cables.

To many it seems not to be easy to make clear how to use such a equipment. You got the point. I will never buy such a machine as you knows stabilizer muscles are not involved. So I prefer free movements, but, in the condo where i now in Brasil the have replaced the old classical multifunction machine with this type and i was wondering which exercises could be done. Many thanks

Looking at yours other videos it seems that I have misconceptions about this machine... as usual, lack of knowledge doesn't help to be on the right side. And, last but not least, im surprised how easy is to understand you, as normally Australian people have their own "special" pronunciation, but I suppose that's not depending on my improved comprehension but on you. Thanks

Hey grandvoid, this is different to everyone because it doesn't just depend on exercise selection but frequency, intensity, nutrition, sleep, genetics, hormone levels and so on. If you are new to training though you should expect to see strength improvements within the first 6-8 weeks
