Boring, Caligula 2 looks better

I liked it, though more for the cast and story. I was also surprised to learn that 4 characters (Ayana, Stork, Eiji and Kuchinashi) were extra additions to Overdose. Really liked the character scenarios for both the Go Home members and Musician. You can fail them, their locked by story progression so the characters can reference events in the main story,. Certain ones can slightly alter your party and the reward for doing them all is allowing you to have members from both sides in your party during NG+. The way Caligula Effect handles character scenarios is something I want Persona to learn from (well this and Yakuza LaD but, that's besides the point) Also, having enemies below your level ignore you in NG+ is great idea. The Causality Link with 500 generic NPCs was a horrible idea and while being able to add them to your party is nice, it's not fleshed out. Why use a temporary member over a full one? It's also weird how your party gets separated at one point but, you can just make a new party with the NPCs. Looking forward to Caligula Effect 2.

Short Answer: Potential Long Answer: Caligula Effect gained a niche cult in Japan. The devs were surprised that CE resonated with many people as fans kept encouraging them to make a sequel. Overdose luckily performed better than the OG vita, this also opened the opportunity for CE2.

@@DavidCastJRPGs its really nice the combat is addicting for me. it looks and plays great it and the story is very character heavy, it's a little similiar to 13 sentinels in some parts

Funny you mention that considering the game is thematically tied to vocaloid and has music made from vocaloid producers.

I dont think the story is generic, as I mentioned it gets deeper than it seems at first! But i'll give you bad performance 😂
