Because stock internals can’t handle much then 650 holding them back only reason I haven’t copped one my 4.8 vortec turbo internals can handle up to 800 in runing on 650whp

I love 'em, but I drove an older 6.1 and a 6.4 recently, and the 5.7 just doesn't do it completely for me. Great motor, but those other two fly. And that doesn't include the hellcat motor.

@The Real VR no shit, I’m saying a 392 would be a good race for a healthy LS3 and a 345 would get smoked, this Camaro doesn’t even have the LS3 anymore, unknown iron block so it could have a 5.3, 6.0 or 6.2 truck motor which would be a lot less powerful and a lot heavier than the LS3. That Challenger runs good for what it is, that SS runs awful for what it is supposed to be.

6.2 factory will gap a 5.7 easy, I have owned both and still have the ss fbo. Blew the dodge on a cold start

@@2ss_Manna We are tied 460/441 stage 2 cam VVT camaro. Even stock stall converter id probably take that guys stage 3. People think BTR (what i think he is running. could be wrong) is all that cam wise. Nope. they are dyno queens. Peak numbers no throughput. He needs a WAY better tune.

Power is what keeps you going, and it's not likely you'll lose TQ. Only time tq loss is a thing is in regards to driving under normal conditions using normal throttle input and if you were too, it probably not very noticeable. Plus the simplist solution is using more throttle, which you will with the added power anyway. Under full throttle, you won't ever lose TQ because of a cam swap

Depending on the cam specs, you’ll lose some down low torque to gain top end horsepower. The best range for a 6.4 is 22x/23x

how is the black top edition different from a base RT? like besides cosmetics?

Ok I seen a R/T with chrome in the front and chrome rims not even leather and the black top Edition R/T is going to come with leather I suppose it was cloth seats in the Basic RT and the engine is a hemi and I know cause you can clearly see it says HEMI on it with gray right okay. Compared to my black top Edition R/T the engine is totally different looking and more aggressive looking also I mean I'm still trying to figure out why my engine is different from the other R/T also and no my engine doesn't say 3.6 either LMFAO

Don’t forget us old 6.1 SRT8s in the 2010 challenger, the 5.7 and the 6.1 I truly believe are much more underrated then most people think, the 6.4L are trash.

@@micahmatthew4645 I honestly can not hate or say much, tbh I’m new into the dodge family, iv always been LS, and I do own a 2010 SRT8 Chally I have just never heard much good things on the 6.4L, no hate just a simple comment I honestly don’t know much at all regarding the differences between the 6.1 and 6.4, I’m wanting the factory intake manifold off a 6.4 to put on my 6.1, it heat soaks bad.

@@dylanlane2306 I feel you man. The 6.4 itself is a beast stock for stock. If you put it inside of a car that had the weight of say a mustang, it would obviously increase the mustangs weight from what it is w the 5.0 but it would HAUL ASS. Many always argue that all dodge has to do is make their cars weigh less to wipe the floor with the competition and I truly believe it. It comes w a ton of power and there aren’t many cars that have the price point of a scat pack that contain as much torque as the 6.4 makes. The one negative about it is it’s trash when trying to boost, you’ll blow your engine with anything more than 5 pounds of boost. And it also doesn’t react to mods and tunes as well as say a 5.0 or LS engine. Put a 6.4 into your 2010 and obviously change the transmission and watch how much quicker your car is. Especially with the 8 speed vs the 5 speed manual or 6 speed automatic (can’t remember if the 6.1s came in one or both). But give dodge credit, it’s an SRT built engine. It’s actually just an upgrade from the 6.1 in my opinion

I got the worst gearing for the track. Before the cam i was throwing down 13.2 at 109. I’m not sure what it will be now.

RT's put out 372 hp. Maybe 2021 model 375-380. But with a cam, better throttle body, headers, new intake ect...you can get it up to 392 power, maybe. Lol

@@adrianfrancis6495 stock these make about 335-345 to the wheel. I made 400 with headers and e85. I’m a little low on power after the cam. Can’t seem to get it running right so I’m guessing 420-430 which is close to a bone stock 2015-2018 scat makes.

If you have a 2015 or newer, you'll need to either swap out your PCM for an unlocked one or get yours unlocked before you can tune it.

It is what it is🤷🏾‍♂️ stock on stock yeah he beat me but there are a lot of variables that come into play when modding and tuning cars. Not every car is the same. I’ve beat and gotten beaten by camaros. I went into this race thinking I was gonna get gapped in all honesty. Either chose the wrong cam or got a bad tune

It’s a 5th gen SS LS3, but something not right, a FBO Stage 3 will walk a similarly modded 5.7, be a close race for a 6.4 same mods

@@samholcombe3129 a scat with similar mods would walk a cammed camaro ngl. Buddy of mine is catless, cai, throttle body, and e85 pushing 485 to the wheels. 5th gens make 460-475 fbo cammed e85

@@2ss_Manna I’ve seen sheets from LS3 Camaros with FBO, Cam E85 from 490-505 whp, especially with nightfury cam, Camaro 200-300 lbs lighter too
