My father and I partake on an adventure up into British Columbia's beautiful Rocky Mountains for an overnight camping trip.
The beginning of our journey started out rough. After driving up and down the valley bottoms for hours on end, we finally realized that the mountain we had planned to climb was inaccessible, due to unforeseen obstacles, some being washed out bridges or impassable roads. After some discussion, we ended up betting all of our odds on our only backup mountain. The mountain was not too far away from where we originally planned to climb, but it was now kilometers away from where we had ended up. Luckily after all our effort, we were met with an accessible road up the mountain. After driving up the dangerously overgrown mountain road in the night, with steep drops less than a foot away from the tires at times, we made it to our camping spot, and had ourselves our first night of our trip in the Rocky Mountains. The next morning, with a sleepless night behind us, we started off on our tramp up into the mountains. The following footage is a documentation of our adventure.
This video was a mix of doubt, belief, disappointment, excitement, sleep deprivation, and sheer determination. The amount of time and effort put into this trip was like no other video I have filmed. This was not the "walk in the woods" like some of my other videos. We were pushed too our limits by the mountain, and then pushed beyond by the recording of the adventure. Setting up more than 200 individual shots well climbing a mountain with only 4 hours of sleep is not an easy task. As a result of this, I will be keeping this trip and it's documentation close to my heart, and as a memory of my personal victory. I hope you enjoy the finished product as much as I do.
Enjoy the silent adventure!

this is my favorite type of video to watch... no unnecessary talking to explain every detail. it didn't turn into a cooking show. you went out did the "bushcraft" thing, but you were out there for a purpose. great scenery and beautiful landscapes and interesting camera angles/setup.

Hey Nick. I've seen a lot of bushcraft videos on youtube and I prefer your videos. I like that you don't have to talk and just show what you do. And you've got a very chill approach to your videos. Keep making more.

A full size documentary about a beautiful trip, what a gift! I think I speak for a lot of your viewers as I say that I understand that you have to make certain compromises in your energy and time during your trip to document and film it all and I really appreciate that you do, but I want you to know that in my opinion the movie looks perfect and that you can see the great amount of time and energy you put in!! Please keep up this amazing work!! It’s incredible how much rest this 50 minutes of wilderness can give!! Hope you’ll have a wonderful next trip! Joshua

First time watcher! Looks nice down there. Frame packs and lever guns. My kinda people. Guessing you’ve got grizz and cats there. What a view! Mountains look wild. Much different from my frozen shield country. You fellars know how to camp, proper like! Subbing, and looking forward to more. Take care.

Bushcraft North of 60 Nic's dad here. I worked in the nwt/Nunavut for years. Sure do miss the north. Big skies, northern lights wildlife and bugs. (Don,t miss the bugs so much 🤓) glad you enjoyed the video! Nicholas pours his heart and soul into the content and I am lucky enough to spend some time with him in the bush. All the best and always stay safe out in the wilds. DW

Just an absolutley epic film. Bushcrafter of the year award goes to ....Nicholas/Dog and Dad. Nobody comes close, even the ones that behave as if they invented it with their expensive ideas. Congrats on this trip out guys, must be like you won the Stanley Cup or somethin.lol

Yo - nicholas. You did it again - you and your buddy made a really neat SILENT video. Only audio was the natural sound of your activities. Thanks. Dont know about your marksmanship tho - in that last video you fired a hundred rounds of centerfire and didnt get a single rabbit for supper !!!!!
