I don't necessarily think just because his parents have money & that's the reason why this young man is successful. It takes talent & drive to become a great cook/chef. I think people talk crap about Flynn McGarry because they are just stupidly jealous of this genius kids gift that God has given him. Don't listen Flynn to people's envious negative talk about you. I believe you Flynn have a great gift, as long as you believe you can do it the skies the limit kiddo. 😃👍

bob jones meanwhile how many kids go to college, get saddled with a huge debt for life without having learned any meaningful skills? granted that life is never simple, but we have a culture of " go to college or die" at whatever cost which should be changed.

With the right team around him, why not? Understanding how to negotiate the right lease, food costing, staffing and marketing/branding (he's already winning on that point), Eureka 2 should be a smashing success.

You show them who's boss, boy... I am tired of these societal notions of "skinny people can cook, what?" and "kids can be creative and have talent and knowledge, what?" and "young men can like doing a woman's work, what?"

My answer to this video's question is that there is no such thing as "best in the world". It's an opinion. If someone or some organization decides a restaurant does merit that title, it is simply their opinion, and it begs the question of how they came to that conclusion. We can clearly find out what building is the tallest in the world, or what is the largest mountain of Earth, or where is the deepest part of the pacific ocean located? The "greatness" of anything, however, cannot be scientifically measured.

God you Americans are a silly, optimistic bunch. Let this child graft for more than a few years in a half decent kitchen, preferably in Europe, before backing this kids dream of opening one the best restaurants in the world, which is highly unlikely he'll do so. Sorry to burst the New York times positive bubble, but rich kid with lots of resources the top chefs of today didn't have at his age + more dollars, doesn't equate to the world's best restaurant, or close to it, at least in my mind. I'm not trying to dump on his dream, just injecting some British pessimism

He's already many years ahead of many others around his age and older. Whether it be because of personal ingenuity or lucky circumstances (e.g., resources from rich parents), that has to count for something.

Jeremy Evans I fear he's going to enter a proper 'oui chef' type kitchen when he's older and be exposed to the harse reality than many others like him, minus his particular advantages, want to be great chefs. While running your own restaurant at 15 is fantastic, there's no figure of authority (as far as I can tell from this video) to inject criticism or give a sense of urgency/pressure to his cooking process. It is through adversity and taking a earful from an angry head chef, that he is more likely to flourish into a great chef, not protected by a bubble in the form of his own restaurant.
