It depends on the Rudraksha and how they've consecrated... Not all Rudraksh is same...we can wear Rudraksh while eating nonveg also which is offered by Isha (Sadhguru)... Sadhguru will always give us proper guidance...

Shiv Puran,Pratham Skandh,Chapter 25, Shlok 43 मद्यं मांसं तु लशुनं पलाण्डु शिग्रुमेव च। श्लेष्मान्तकं विडवराहं भक्षणे वर्जयेत्ततः ॥ ४३ ॥ A person wearing Rudraksa beads, shall not eat meat, garlic, onion, red garlic, potherb, glutinous fruits, pig of rubbish and wine. Isha foundation and Sadhguru themselves accept that they dont follow our scriptures of sanatan dharm... Better follow our scriptures 🙂

you should keep rudraksha in ghee for 24 hrs,next in milk for 24hrs later clean it with clean water wipe it with clean cloth.u should not wear hot water to clean it,and do not use soaps are any other chemiacals to clean,even while bathing u should take care not getting rudraksha in contact with harsh chemicals.you can apply vibhuthi to rudraksha.
