@@RestorationAustralia do you mean the belt grinder? It's 2x72 84 Engineering shopmaster google them you'll find a company called Gameco Artisan Supplies in Australia. You can also look at a 1x30 belt grinder as they are a cheap way to start mate.

Hi mate no I didn't heat treat it because I was happy with its edge holding. Check it with a file. If you etch it in feric or vingar you can actualy see the differential heat treat line along the blade. If I was to re heat treat it I'd probably treat it like any mystery Steel and heat till non magnetic and the quenching in 30- 40c canola oil bud. And temper for 2 x2 hours at about 190-200c. This is just what I'd do. Hope it helps bro. Good luck

Yeah basically bro just take little bits off at a time and keep trying it then once it fits in well. You can shape the handle bit itself.

No mate I don't know. I'd say it's a simple spring Steel but I'm pretty sure I've seen or know of people to read heat treat them.
