God bless you for this information , I hope it works for my neice who just got a refusal and we believe the decision is faulty because they said reason insufficient fund while we submitted well above the amount required. Perhaps we will try a reconsideration. Thank you.

In my previously refused study permit application, I included 2 diplomas in addition to other credentials. Now I want to reapply but I don’t want to include those 2 diplomas anymore. Will it be considered a misrepresentation?

Hi Cedric, I really appreciate your video! I'm in Canada but recently received a refusal letter to my work permit application. The letter says I can restore my status by reapplying online. Considering the long processing time, I am wondering if I can apply at US-Canada border as a Mexican citizen after I leave Canada and enter US instead of online restoration. Thank you for your help.

Hi Team, would like to seek advise on my current situation.... My Spousal Open Work Permit was refused on Nov 12th 2023... I came to Canada in Sept 2021 through Intra company transfer from India... This year they informed to me that due to project constraints and budget issues, they are transferring me back to India... Since I was living with my common law partner, based on his PGWP, I applied for Spousal Open Work Permit... But I received the refusal letter on Nov 12th 2023 stating since I have valid Closed Work Permit status until Feb 2026 (we had not mentioned in the application that I am losing the job over here and that is the main reason for applying the SOWP)... Now I have raised for the reconsideration stating the details along with resignation letter... Received the acknowledgement on Dec 1st 2023 that my file is sent to the officer and it all depends on the officer for reconsideration approve or reject... May I pls know how long will it take for the officer to respond if my application will be reconsidered or not? And in this case will the officer reconsider my case or not?

Hi! Sir, my daughter was refused a Study permit...she was inside Canada with a Visitor visa when she filed her application and this is the reason.... " A foreign natonal is authorized to study in Canada without a study permit if the program of study will be completed within a period of stay authorized upon entry into Canada and the duration of the program is six months or less.An application to obtain a study permit to further pursue a program of study must be made outside Canada. Your status in Canada is valid until July 13, 2023". She was enrolled in Douglas College, a DLI, with LOA for a 2 year program. What is the best thing to do?

Hi Cedric, Will it be easier to obtain a visitor visa for spouse then later apply for SOWP? To reduce the chances of refusal, or SOWP be applied for directly?

Hi Lana, this is really dependent on your individual situation, including nationality, previous travel experience, previous travel in Canada and so on. Generally speaking, the visitor visa and work permit are both temporary resident statuses and it usually makes more sense to apply for the SOWP at the same time. This being said, how are they getting the SOWP? What is your work permit? Are you both already inside Canada? Is this a spousal? My wife’s Spouse open work permit is refused because of the below reason! You do not qualify under the IMP as you provided insufficient information to demonstrate that your spouse is a full-time student in a qualifying program at a DLI in Canada. Refused under R205(c)(ii). So, should I generate a reconsideration request or reapply? As in my application I already given a proof of academic letter, college student Id card, offer letter and all the document related to proof my student profile!

Hi Cedric, I don't have an option in the ircc website to request a Reconsideration. I already wrote the letter of recommendation but, I don't know where to send it. You have to apply with a new application. There is no re consideration option but a new application to explain and provide docs you didnt in the first application.

@@bereketockubahans4770 you cant delete an already submitted application. If you got refused, open a new application then submit docs and change the SoP depending on the refusal reasons on what have asked or is missing.

Hii cedric! It’s been already 1 month since i got an acknowledgment of receipt from ircc saying that my application has been sent to the responsible office for reconsideration . How much time can this take from the acknowledgment of receipt ?

Hi my sowp got refused saying that the institute my spouse is studying doesn't fit this category..but it's show the IRCC WEBSITE that institution is DLI APPROVED.
