I shot in XFAVC on the c70 and Raw on the C500 Mark ii for the exterior shots and XFAVC for the interview shots

Thank you Karan! The c70 is a great A cam, as long as you are aware of its limitations. We send 2 c70’s out as a combo for a cam / b cam all the time and are super happy with it. The biggest limitations I would say is the lack of sdi. Occasionally it is needed for certain jobs, but for many, that won’t matter at all. The image quality is very good on the c70. For me, I bought the c500 mark ii before the c70 was announced. I would say the biggest benefits over the c70 are it’s full frame (even in pl mount) where’s the c70 uses a speedbooster so you only get the full frame look when using EF glass. Secondly, the raw capability is nice for my higher end commercial work. Third is I like the body with the sdi ports on it. All that said, I love my c70 (especially after putting it in the bright tangerine cage) and would definitely recommend it if you are looking at it and it fits your work 🔥

@@GriffinConway Personally the lack of SDI doesn't bother me as much but i must say i am not a fan of using the HDMI for external displays or otherwise, just doesn't seem secure enough especially if thats the only display port available on the camera. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the C500 mark ii and the C70 for one project each respectively and was blown away by the image quality and ease of use especially from the C500 mark ii. The C70 was really good and gave me a great look straight off the camera, one thing i didn't like was the Speed booster adapter. The camera has features like lens correction and since the adapter is not compatible with most lenses that gives a compatibility warning in addition to the annoying CA compliments of the glass elements in the adapter. Having said that the C70 has been quickly made its way onto Bollywood feature film and web series sets not only as a B camera to an Alexa or RED but also as A camera setups due to the cost to image value. I have a project coming up which would be a 2 cam both being C70's. More hands on time will help answer a lot of my doubts. Your bright tangerine setup does make the rig feel a lot more substantial yet flexible. Here's the project i did on the C500 mark ii , your thoughts would be appreciated. It was descriptive of the type of shoot it was. Documentary style as in we were not disrupting his riding session much.
