Thank you. I so appreciate your style and compassion. Some people would edit out their "to the floor" moments, but you kept it in and helped us all feel "human" together. Around this house things like that happen and we just take it in our stride also. Thank you. I remember back when olive, mustard, and burnt orange were the all the rage in appliance colors, but you don't look that old. It must have been your mother's.

Im not sure how she did it but when I was 4 my mom exploded a pressure cooker of kidney beans and it splattered red all over the kitchen. When I ran into the room I thought she had blown her head off🤣 I think it scarred me for life. Thanks to Leisa I've overcome my fear of pressure canning. I think I will pull up my big girl panties and try some beans. I'll gift them to my mom. But seriously, this is a great idea to do with some of my stock of dried beans when you consider the amount of resources to make 1 batch vs an entire batch of ready jars. Thank you to all you wonderful ladies for all the invaluable lessons

One year I made a mixed bean soup that turned in to never ending bean soup. I had used 7 different kinds of beans and used the whole bag of each. I was a young wife and never knew how much soup that was going to make until I had soaked all of them. Wish I had knew about canning back then. Instead I had put that soup into the freezer and for a whole year we had bean soup almost every other week. Thanks for lids for sponsoring canuary

That’s a great idea to can a mixed blend of beans, they looked really tasty! I don’t think you have to worry about the space on top of the jars after canning, I think I heard that sometimes beans continue to swell…even after canning.

I lost my Dad in May of 2022. He was meticulous in sorting beans, so I adopted his sorting skills as a child. Nothing like biting down on a rock. Also, I love having beans in the pantry for quick meals. I work in healthcare so I work long days and travel a lot, so easy meals for the husband and I is a must. Thanks for the recipe and I appreciate all the recipe and canning advice. God bless and Happy 2023 from Gilliam Farms @Gilliam Farms in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Wado!
