Thank you so much for making the video! Great job! I have the exact same pressure washer that is just over a year old and won't start. I've used it twice! Lowe's Craftsman repair wants $160 to replace the carburetor. I will definitely try your method and see if mine will run after cleaning as you did. I'll never buy another Craftsman pressure washer however. Thanks again for sharing your video!!!

I hope it works for you. If I were a betting man I'd say that if you follow those steps it'll run like a champ. Fingers crossed for you my friend.

I have this exact pressure washer, and it would not start at all. I did exactly as you did in the video, and it started right up. Thank you!

That makes me happy that I could help you out. A tip for you. Unless you use this at least once a month, you'll continue to have this problem. Crappy design, I think. My advice is if you don't plan on using it for a while, I run the gas out of it and just crack open the fuel bowl so that any remaining gas drains from the carburetor. Just remember to tighten it before you put gas in it again.

Always loved my Craftsman tools, but I’ve NEVER had good luck with Craftsman mowers/small engine equipment. Through the years I’ve tried one of their push mowers as well as riding mower, and both were simply TERRIBLE. Glad you had a simple fix on your pressure washer !

I'm in the exact same boat. The pressure washer has been my problem child. I have a craftsman mower that has been great. Have had it for several years now and never a serious problem. Now I'm having issues with my snowblower. So if I can get that fixed I'll pay a video on that in the future.

Your engine still surges while running because you neglected the low-speed circuit in the carburetor. You're only "most of the way there," in other words. ;o)

Did you take the air filter off i dont know if I have my linkage on correctly same pressure washer
@bardstables890910 күн бұрын
I don't recall removing the air filter. I don't think you need to, in fact, if I didn't include it in the video, then I didn't remove it. I basically covered everything you should need to do to make it run. Honestly I think it's a poor design, but then I'm not an engineer. Lol

New oil.. new spark plug... cleaned carb... still won't start. 3 years old on the pressure washer. Any suggestion
@bardstables890911 ай бұрын
Are you getting spark? In other words, can you see a spark from the plug when it's removed from the cylinder head? There isn't too much that can go wrong here. If no, then check the coil. If yes, make sure you don't have an obstruction in your fuel line. Let me know if any of this helps.

I forgot to ask, have you cleaned the jet in the carb? 9 times out of 10 that's where the problem lies, especially with today's fuel.
