That rice & beans had my stomach talking! 😁 It all looked delicious. Hailing from the U.S, but I'm a Caribbean girl. The way we make our rice n' beans in Haiti is somewhat similar, we put our beans/peas to boil after washing, sometimes w/ a clove of garlic/sprig of thyme. Once tender, we drain beans, fry them in the pot with green seasoning, then add some of the cooking liquid, check the seasoning, add the cream coconut, & clean rice once it comes to boil. We also typically fry our fish without a coating, as well as our other meats. The other meats are seasoned & boiled, then fried. I've yet to make the carrot punch, & at my age, I'm I. my 30's, I'm still learning recipes from my mama. Fantastic job. on the food!

I use videos like this to learn how to cook and show my children different cultures through food. I think its a good way to have children learn through food because they get to taste what they eat and a bit of history of where the recipes come from.

Sending much love from a Jamaican girl in Minnesota! 🇯🇲 the joy this gave me kept flaring up like I was about to cry. Thank you to you and your family for doing this. I learned to cook from my grandparents. The only thing we do differently is the carrot juice. We boil them a little. Blend them with their water and add the same stuff 😊♥️💛💚🎶😘

Delish!! My mom used to use milk instead of condense sweeten milk. And she would grate the carrot and add the milk then squeeze out the juice. So without the water. Very healthy meal in dead.

I love you, your little Queens and mom/sister 😉 you ladies are beautiful! I'm from the Dominican Republic & my husband is from Haiti and I LOVE to see how even with different techniques we pretty much use the same ingredients and concept. I love my Jamaican brothers and sisters! My friend taught me how to make Curry Chicken which isn't really made in DR or Haiti as traditional food OMG! Ty for your time, ty for bringing us together through nourishment. You Queens rock!

I usually boil the carrot in a pot with cinnamon then cut it it up & and it to the blender and use the carrot water from the pot to blend everything together . When it’s done I add nurshimnet or suppligent, grattered nutmeg, condense milk , vanilla essence ( Benjamins) , little bit of white rum & dragon
