Carlo Ancelotti BLASTS La Liga 'racism problem' after Vinicius Junior was AGAIN the target of abuse

Жыл бұрынVinícius Júnior was subjected to racist abuse in a Spanish league game yet again on Sunday with Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti saying he considered replacing the Brazil forward.
Valencia fans appeared to chant “monkey” at the star after Madrid's game at Mestalla Stadium had been temporarily stopped. Vinícius had said a fan insulted him from the stands, and Ancelotti said Vinícius initially didn't want to continue playing.
Vinícius has been subjected to racist abuse since he came to play in Spain five years ago.
The Brazilian was later sent off after an altercation with Valencia players, and gestured to home fans about their team’s fight against relegation as he left the field.
Vinícius had called to the referee around the 70th minute and started pointing to a person sitting among the Valencia supporters behind one of the goals at Mestalla Stadium. He went near the stands and confronted the fans while players from both teams tried to restore calm.
Police eventually arrived in the stands to deal with the supporters. An announcement was made asking fans to behave.
Ancelotti talked to Vinícius near the sidelines and he continued playing.
The match at Mestalla was stopped for nearly 10 minutes, and not long after it resumed Vinícius clashed with Valencia players and was sent off for pushing one of his opponents away with a hand to his face.

A couple of roving drones, with cameras that zoom in and that can later on be used to identify those engaging in racist behaviour, should be allowed by La Liga, at least during Real Madrid games (even if Real Madrid initially has to shoulder the expenses). Apparently he's a hard man with his players but I have never seen him express anger in a press conference. Those Valencia fans need to identified and made public. Don't let them enter a football stadium ever unless each of them makes a public apology in a video with their face that will remain permanent on social media. Ban them again if they delete it. I watched the game completely. Vinicius didn't initiate anything with the Valencia supporters. The claim against Vinicius is that he provokes the supporters by being disrespectful. What I have seen is a player complaining to the referee when decisions didn't go his way. Every footballer does this. Vinicius did not provoke the Valencia supporters. It's seems like a tactic to get Vinicius off his game. Shameful.

I agreed with your statement . The racist chants started at the arrival of the team at the stadium as they were leaving the bus to the stadium . There is no provocation from the player and from those that said "why only Vini " it is because the racists know he is the best player from the other team . The RM Coach is right - no confusion , the refeere stated in his act that he stopped the game due to the racist chants .

If I ran the league, any stadium that did this would be empty of home fans for a year. Punish a club like that once, and the rest of them will start to take responsibility for their fans. I wouldn't dock points to punish the players for the behavior of fans they don't agree with. But if a player engaged in racism like this, they would be suspended for 30 games. If multiple players are caught in one season, instant relegation.

Once racist abuse sets in a game, and it’s confirmed, the players need to walk out of the pitch for an early shower, the game should be stopped completely. You can’t keep doing nothing and expecting different results. La liga needs to take action. What’s the point of playing football with racists hauling abuse at you.

Disgraceful from La Liga the way they’re trying to deflect and brush it off and act like it’s just an accusatory matter when you can distinctly hear parts of the stadium chanting, it’s not like it’s only a few fans. If they don’t rescind the red card and take proper action, then it only gets worse. Bravo Don Carlo for sticking up for his players! He is not telling the truth or the one who make the translation is not telling the truth . I saw the game and when Vinicius got the red card what the stadium was shouting was LOCO , LOCO ,LOCO and not Monkey . And the referee stop the game only because Vinicius claim that somebody was telling him mono ( monkey ) when what this person said that he was yelling was tonto , that we can not say that the meaning of this is stupid , tonto is more like silly in english , just because stupid in spanish is estupido , and the referee have the obligation of stopping the game to investigate the situation . The interest is that if that was the case that the whole stadium was saying 'mono' then the referee have the obligation to cancel the game and end the game and he did not did it , so I don't believe that happen like the translater said .
