I am 53 with DDD in my neck and back as well as stage 4 Osteoarthritis in both hips. Have been slowly losing mobility over the last 3 yrs. Started Keto and fasting at the beginning of February and lost 35lbs now I'm 200lbs and just started Carnivore Oct 1. Not interested in creating a channel myself but I'm so thankful for those of you willing to share your journey to help encourage the rest of us! Thank you!!! Deborah :)

@@qweeknee4208 actually no but thanks for asking! Just 2 months after I posted that comment I went for additional diagnostic tests and found out that I actually have no cartilage left in either hip so Im scheduled to get my first complete replacement on April 24th and hopefully the second one 4 months later.

I'm very impressed with your progress, you look great, obviously more trim, and looking at least 20 years younger! Thank you for your inspiration, keep on working towards your best self😊 I'm with you, this is my sixth month, losing slowly, but so many wondrous health improvements, no more prilosec, allegra, or blood pressure meds. Arthritis is 80% better, skin better, attitude better. I was headed for a wheelchair, now still a limp, but so much more mobile! 26 pds gone! Folks like you on KZfaq help me so much

Just want to encourage you to keep on, keeping on. It certainly took decades to get where you were when you started so it will take some time to trim it off to where you would like to be. I have been strict carnivore since February 2,2020. I did not lose any weight for at least 6 months. It's only recently that I am finally within 5 lbs of my ideal weight. I only had 32 pounds to lose but I think it has taken my body this long to heal and my metabolism to finally kick in after a lifetime of yoyo dieting. Hang in there and don't let the scales determine your success. If you search Mary Fields Carnivore on KZfaq you can see the interviews I've done with Judy Cho where we talk about weight loss.

Mary I took a look at your interview with Judy Cho. What an amazing story you have!! So encouraging. I had the issues too when I was young with thinking I was unlovable because I had some fat on me. It wasn't my parents.. it was other people. "You have such a pretty face if you would just lose some weight". Ugh. So damaging when you are young and impressionable. And I loved what you said about forgetting the scale... I need to put less focus on that and more on how my clothes fit. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration! ☺☺☺

90 days and you've lost that much weight. You SHOULD NOT be disappointed. You will not lose weight every week. I was doing keto. I thought my weight loss was going sooo slow at the time. That's until it was 7 months later and I was 60lbs down. That is NOT slow or disappointing weight loss. I know it's so difficult to remind yourself that. I still have to remind myself this. But maybe reading it will help you to see that your progress so far is really great. And yes, you can definitely see a difference in your before and afters. You're shrinking overall and it's noticeable.

I see lots of improvement in you appearance. You look healthier, brighter and smaller! Good for you. Did you know that muscle weighs more than fat? Maybe you've gained some muscle. I started carnivore 7 months ago, after 2 months I added in some veggies, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower and green salads so I guess I'm Ketovore now. My weight loss slowed when i added the veggies but that's okay I love veggies. I keep my carbs under 20 grams a day and I've lost 50 lbs. Intermittent fasting has been a huge help for me. Dr Mindy is a nutritionist and IF coach here on KZfaq. Keep up the good work. p.s. I'm 74 yrs old and want to lose 40 more lbs.

Wow amazing transformation madam. Your looking younger. Your face is looking brighter. I myself have been on the 90% carnivore diet for 60 days. I sleep better, I haven't used my asthma pump in 6 weeks. My piles have gone from week 2. My blood pressure is in the safe zone. I have lost from 131kgs to 112kg. I train weights 4 times a week and I walk everyday covering 10000-12000 steps a day. Keep going everyone. Carnivore works

Can't wait to see your next update. Blessings to you😊

Hi from Bucharest, Romania. I'm close to my 60 days carnivore and lost about 13 pounds of a total 100 lbs goal. Most of my 60 days I was stalling, but I kept going and I will. Funny thing is my energy is so good that I feel like I already lost the 100 lbs, so just feeling so great I don't mind if the scale is stubborn. It will eventually go down. Slowly but surely. So Karin, to encourage you, I think zero lbs lost on a week is a great victory if you think at it the reverse way, not gaining back the weight you already lost. Hugs and congrats. You rock it!

Hello! Congrats on your progress so far! I think you are doing fantastic, you are surely losing weight! One thing I will say is that cutting out any dairy products (though it may be difficult at first) will help SO much with losing weight more quickly. My family and I have been doing carnivore for months now- and just recently I have cut out dairy- and doing that helped me so much- with being quicker, having no dandruff, and just feeling slimmer. Anyways! Just a few tips! Good luck, and keep going! You got this! :D
@pistachios1453

I will add that if you eat only twice a day- your body will start to burn that fat you are eating. Its kind of like a fast. Dr. Ken berry talks about it a lot- and so does the Steak and Butter gal! (both very good carnivore people to gain advice from!) Eating as much as you can until you feel like you cant eat any more is a good goal for breakfast, because then, you surely wont be hungry until dinner time/a later lunch time! Then for your second meal eat as much as you can! It is a GREAT time saver and it just allows you to not have to think about snacking during the day! I have done this multiple days now and I have gotten into a pattern that feels very right for my body. I will add that taking little walks (even if its down the street a little ways and back!) will help you lose weight so much quicker! You got it!

Pro Tip😜...give yourself grace and lots of time to adjust. And continue as you feel comfortable with it to make adjustments and do small challenges within the carnivore diet to see what happens. Ex: remove dairy, replace butter with Tallow, try less meals or more meals...keep testing and mixing it up.👍

Don't give up. I am not fully carnivore yet but about 95%. Invest in a scale that does the body composition. In the past 11 months I went from almost 58% fat to 55% muscle and 90 lbs less. Sometimes the scale does not tell you everything. You may feel like nothing is happening but it is, I still have a ways to go (maybe 70 lbs) but in no way will I give up again like previous attempts. I have had carb/sugar relapses, but just got back on that horse the next day. No chastising myself, just move on. No more saying, I indulged this meal, might as well make it a weekend. I tell you what, as soon as I have the carbs, I feel it in my knees almost immediately. Its almost unbelievable how much inflammation is caused from carbohydrates.

I am doing a body composition scale at work, but I really need to find an accurate one for my home. I feel like you do - no way am I going to give up this time. Amazing what carbs did to our body - still can't believe how good I feel just by cutting those out! Thank you for your comments! 😊

Some people when they start carnivore need to heal a bit longer internally and then you will see the weight come off. As everyone says, "just trust the process!" Especially when you have a lot of inflammation weight going on. I can see a difference in your inflammation weight. I'm starting all over and this is exactly my devil that I need to work on too.

u did not mention your face and neck changes!! your face and neck is slimming and youre seeing mroe definition which makes you even prettier than you already were!! thats a big issue for me. i dont look like the same person after getting sick, having a baby & gaining 100lbs after being between 120-140 my entire adult life! my face is always the first thing to show weight gain, even if alittle, but you r doing great and remember, your body is doing alot more than just loosing the weight. its healing. so be patient and remind yourself you dont always know what changes within are really taking place. like u said youre on the right track!!

Keep going, at 90 days a strict carnivore should result in around 30 lbs, set that target ,and if you are not, try eating 1 less meal a day, reduce fat and up protein, You will get there, i was 440 lbs, now 214, if my weight loss stalls, i do a 3 day fast, go back carnivore, within a year, youll need all new clothes i promise you, if you slip, get back on track the very next meal,, never ever say, ill fix it tmrw. We only get ao many of those imo

I read that a person has to get well on the inside before you can lose weight. You look less fluffy. Also, to lose weight slowly is good because it gives your skin a chance to contract with you. I know I am someone who likes everything done yesterday, but not in this case.

Chickens are very low fat, and you should add fat. When I upped my fat, even if just adding butter. Also consider eliminating dairy. Cheese and sour cream may not be your friend. And salt only for seasoning.

Don't beat yourself ourself up. I saw a video today that explains why women are having a harder time than men . Our bodies are built to have babies and we need insulation to protect them. Our bodies don't know we are not going to have more children so we are stuck with it. Be patient, you are doing a fantastic job. Normally it is said we only lose about 1-2 lbs a week. If we are lucky. I am doing almost that much and I am happy. Please don't be upset some people don't lose anything. Your face and neck look nice, And you look a little more youthful.

Great work losing the weight! Don't be too disouraged by not losing weight in a week. Our bodies can vary in weight within a single day by like 5lbs from water and water retention. So you're not Xlbs, you're X+-5lbs. Better to celebrate when you've lost 10lbs, rather than 5lbs, because the errors can drive us mad.
@OurSufficientLife

Thanks, Alan - yes that scale can be the arch enemy. I have found water weight gain/inflammation is usually the culprit. Happy to report much less inflammation with carnivore, though! 😀 I like the way you think about the scale being +/- 5 lbs. Great way to look at it!!

You've lost a huge amount of body fat - that's obvious sweetie. Just stay with it. I think you should just use a tape measure to monitor the changes in your body instead of weighing.

i c ur doing really well but understand the frustration. carnivore seems easy ,at first, but then it gets complicated. i think u'll find u lost more inches if u measure urself in 5 diff places. 1st...measure ur bust the same way u wud measure for a bra...circumference immediately below breast and then, w/o moving the tape, 2nd... same circumf but lift the tape up a bit to include full breast (that's how u determine the cup size. this produces 2 diff measurements. it feels good when u go down a cup. 3rd...measure waist 2-3 inches directly below breast. i think u'll find daily losses here. 4th... circumf around belly button. 5th...3-4 inches below belly button. i actually do this every morning for motivation and it's never failed me. check out dr. elizabeth bright if u haven't yet. women need diff things than men and she'll tell u what. prior to this vid, i watched the day 44 vid. i hope ur consuming a lot more protein and fat than u were eating omad. in the beginning it's best, for weight loss and healing, to consume meat, water, and electrolytes only. u mentioned adding spices for flavor so u can stick to carnivore. that's smart but remember it when u feel things aren't moving as fast as ud like. u'll get there. if u stress over it, u'll make cortisol and that will keep u from losing. i'm going thru all the same stuff u r and i get it. i'm actually writing to u And myself. i see us having to do a lot of tweaking in the next couple of Years to heal our bodies and lose weight. one of the main things i gleaned from watching the gazillion vids of berry, chaffee, hogan, o'mara, 5 min bod, stk & butter gal, spath, bill nott, homestead how, and bright just to name a few is that Every Body is Different. we can take our cues from these people but ultimately, we have to find what works for us. it sucks really. thank you for solid info ur putting out. don't forget to google dave hall cellerciser for that lymphatic draining. hang in there!!!

Are you or anyone in the comments counting calories?
@OurSufficientLife
@OurSufficientLife 6 ай бұрын
No, I am not counting calories. I wanted something easier that could be sustainable long term. The basic idea is you eat when you are hungry, then eat until you are comfortably stuffed or until the food just doesn't taste as good anymore (listening to your body). Then just wait until you are hungry again. I think this helps to promote it as a lifestyle change and not a diet. I work full time, though and find that eating 4-5 sausage links and 3 slices of bacon around 9am is what my body wants. Then I don't need to eat again until after I am home for dinner. Then I eat about a pound, sometimes more of meat - mainly fatty beef. If it's lean, I eat it with some butter. There are some videos out on why counting calories is kind of useless - I am linking to one here for you! ☺ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n5d9ppegysmsf4k.html
