As someone that is in regenitative farming and is in raises grassfed grass finished beef it's really refreshing to see people talking about this subject that actually seemed to have some knowledge on it. It becomes very exhausting when you watch a lot of other people's videos about this subject and it is so grossly inaccurate it's scary to think what else they are wrong about But so far that has just not been the case with this channel very happy To see that.

I feel you. Honestly capitalism requires this mass factory production to maintain itself economically and they gotta construct a dominant ideology that supports monopolistic mass production at unsustainable scales, be it conventional beef or fake beyond shit. It's unfortunate too how the purchasing power keeps shrinking and food prices are sky rocketting with this giant divide between city and country and we can barely afford food...let alone regenerative meat

That's awesome you raise beef regenerative. What's scary is how the next big crisis the democrats are going to push on us after covid is climate change. That's exactly right James. When in reality raising beef lamb and pork the way we do? It's actually better for the environment. I would even argue that we cannot have a full ecosystem without animals in that ecosystem and if we try to just raise large amounts of vegetables or vegan based foods We start to throw off our ecosystem. I personally think that animals are very important to the planet as a whole.

I just did a butcherbox order the classic box for 159 per month and a month of meat. Plus 4 1 lb packs of free ground grass fed finished beef. I got wild salmon, wild cod (healing my thyroid from plants :/), grass fed and finished burgers.. a lot of meats! I add in salmon roe and sardines on my own. As an ex vegan - that wouldn’t even cut it for a week! I was spending upwards 200$ or more!! a week on vegetables - always spoiling always mold. I think this way of eating is better for my budget, better for the environment and better for my health and spirituality as well 💪

One tip for Thomas- Pastured, "Soft Boiled" Eggs (6-7 minutes) are much better for you then scrambled eggs (end of video.) The preparation method really matters. I just learned this from the book, The Forever Dog- Dr. Becker. I was on a quest to fine tune my dogs nutrition. She said scrambling was the worse method- it destroyed many nutrients. A study she cited clearly demonstrated that lightly cooking the white part, but leaving the yolk mostly raw won out- something like 40% better absorption of protein. Just thought you might want to know.

@@sirgeoh You are doing it wrong. A soft boiled egg gets you about 40% more nutrition than raw. It had better be pastured as well. Reference- read The Forever Dog. Also, I hope that is not only what you are feeding your dog. They need more nutrients so some organ meats like liver. Ratios are extremely important e.g., correct Sodium amounts. Added Magnesium. Added Calcium. For my dog, I add a little (not much, but some) steamed organic broccoli. I also add one pastured soft boiled egg to grass fed beef. I baked the egg shell that is left over and grind it up and add to give him his calcium requirement. I add either anchovies or an organ meat. I give him the correct amount of MAGNESIUM. I add some low sodium chicken broth or filtered water to increase the moisture content. I top it all off with a little EV Olive Oil. Dr. Karen Becker (The Forever Dog) GIVES, as in free recipes on website. For the sake of your dog, please read this. foreverdog.com/resources/diet-food/ At first it seems a lot but it is easy. I make enough to last 2 weeks. I can freeze what he won't eat in about 4-5 days. Otherwise, I keep it in the fridge. You will soon realize you were not feeding your dog a nutrient balanced, biologically appropriate diet. Not all your fault- you didn't know. Don't take my comment as criticism. I only want to help you. I did not know either. Now I feel bad I didn't know sooner too. I also learned if you briefly FAST puppies at least twice a week, they can live 30% longer. It's a great book.

\o/ the bear diet! Finally lol I love it, honestly. Best way to go about it is to eat the fruits as they're naturally available year round instead of the greenhouse variety (not saying there's anything wrong with it since greenhoused fruits can actually be better since they don't have a use for pesticieds in a closed system) since it limits how much of the higher carb fruits you can eat at any given time.

fresh low fat meat lactose free dairy and fresh fruits is amazing for gut health and may be some sourdough bread and rice(both easy to digest). The core concept is any food you ingest it needs to be quickly and easily digested in 1 or 2 hours and you eat only 2 or 3 times a day(2 times normal and third meal is just fruits or juices) and that works great for autophagy and sleep and gut health!! I feel great on this diet!! no spices, no nuts no lentils or beans or bad high fibre veggies... 1. low fat meat and fish 2. fruits and fruit juices(taken as separate meal) 3. low fat meat with sourdough bread and rice 4. some oats with lactose free milk 5 fasting every weekend this keeps me great with gut sleep and my performance!!

I’ve been doing this carnivore-ish, hunter/gatherer diet for a while now and it’s been great. Grass finished meats & tallow/butter, proper eggs and berries & a little raw honey. At the moment I’m in ketosis but that was by choice because you can always come out of that with a little bit more berries and honey. That’s the interesting option of this diet. I’m also still throwing some sauerkraut on my burger patties and a couple other things. I love it.

@@DapperSapper515 Talking baseball on a DeLauer channel, nice. Noah only got a 1 year deal because he's such a liability. New York does get into pitchers heads though, Matt "Dark Knight" Harvey lol. I'm hoping DeGrom can stay healthy because when he's on, he's the best there is. Don't know about Bauer, I'm an Indians fan and saw his antics over the years. Yes, he's a competitor but a lot of BS along with it. Also he's suspended, not found guilty of anything but the dude is one sick puppy. Anyway, the Mets have a really good team without "Thor" (again, NY media) and should go far in the playoffs on the backs of Scherzer and DeGrom.

@@t-rozbenouameur5304 uh, I wouldn’t say on the backs of Scherzer and deGrom. Both have been out a majority of the season and the Mets held first all year long on track for 100 wins. The Mets have great players and aren’t being carried by anyone this year. Everyone is pitching in equally which is why this years different for the Mets. I hope they do good, but Thor is horrendous. I know why the signed him to a 1 year deal. But the point of my message was to show you what he really is. He’s a trash talker with no background to even back it up. Why he’s anybody’s favorite or “one of”, I’ll never understand. But to each their own.

Very few people understand the evolutionary role of fruit and fructose. We evolved to eat fructose which comes from fruit as a survival mechanism, like most animals in nature have. Many animals use fructose to help survive not only a lack of food in the winter, but to help them gain weight for hibernation, migration and other benefits. Ancient humans used fruit as a source of fructose which would not only help us gain weight to survive the winter, but also put us into metabolic changes in the body that prioritized energy for the brain for survival traits like foraging. When you eat fructose, your body gets a signal that it needs to gain weight, so you get hungrier, crave more fructose and eat a lot as well as conserve energy when you are not active. Our ancestors only had access to most fruits in the fall for a limited time. The addictiveness of fructose helped us eat as much as we could in the shortest time possible to gain weight quickly, and this allowed us to survive. Now we eat fructose year round and it's fattening us up for a famine which will never come. Fruit is not necessary to eat at all unless you are purposely trying to gain weight.

@@johnambrose1995 No, it's not. Most all animals including humans have a metabolic reaction to fructose, and this is reality. It has been proven. If you cant accept this truth, oh well. @@johnambrose1995 Yeah, tell me about it. I lost half of my eyebrows. Tell tale sign of low thyroid function. 🤪 I didn't do well on high carb low fat plantbased though, I gained 20 pounds of pure fat. I also ate between 500-600 g of carbs a day, mostly from fruits. I don't think that I gained from the fruit itself but bcs I ate more than my body could use bcs I had so much trouble with feeling satiated. I need protein for satiation. How does your diet look like besides those 600 g of carbs? I have an oxalate toxicity issue from a lifetime with a compromised gut in combination with a high oxalate diet. That's my problem now, I have to be mindful of the total amount of oxalates and I just can't eat the amount of fruits that I would like bcs of that. Bananas were my staples but if I eat several it's too high in total oxalate, especially when I also add how much oxalates there's in other foods that I eat. When I was doing a banana mono I got a really bad UTI.😩 At that time I thought that it was bcs I was "cleansing" but now I'm pretty sure that was bcs I ate around 25 bananas a day and the total amount of oxalates just was WAY too high. Especially since I also added in spinach as my greens. Yikes. I have no oxalobacter in my gut either so no good bacteria to help break it down either.🤪
