Expensive doesn’t necessarily equate to rarity. EarthBound was a very common game in its day, but costs a fortune as people want to play it. Taromaru may be expensive, but there are always copies on eBay, same with PDS. Super Tempo, Tryrush Deppy and the PAL Deep Fear only pop up on eBay every now and then.

That is 100% true! PDS is so expensive. Yet, there are ALWAYS copies of it on the eBays. I have a few games which are never own on eBay and yet, I can pick them up for $20.

Man I love this game. But I'm a little torn on the Intro. I think it's not very good but at the same time, how do you make it better? I guess I could talk about the game instead of trying to show my genitals on KZfaq. I can only imagine that you watched the intro like, "What is he doing? OMG OMGOMGOMGOMG Nooooooooooooo!!!" haha The one thing Layer Section and Layer Section 2 have in common is their difficulty. While the first one was easier (gets ridiculous REAL quick in levels 6 and 7), the sequel seems to up the difficulty earlier on.

Relax, the intro was quite funny to be honest lol. I also like the game a lot but sometimes the screen is so full of objects and geometrical planes that I even lost my ship once or twice. I also love the "art direction" and level design of Layer Section II as it reminds me a lot of Silpheed for the Sega CD.

Yeah, I hate the phrase "shmup". Usually light gun games are called on-rail shooters. Games like Virtua Cop and House of the Dead.
