Sometime I'd like to see watch clocks and watches you have in your collection and hear some background history on them, I think that would be neat to see. Thumbs up of course, ty for posting watch repairs of any time piece. And taking us through, other channels don't some do, but yours is my favorite. Nice job. I'd change or polish the crystal as well. He can always save the original one if he wanted to put it back on eventually if it's not too damaged.

Question: Do the screwdrivers have a torque settings, a kind of adjustable clutch? So that can tighten the screws to their optimal torque setting?

There are no torque settings for watch parts. You have to use feel and touch to tighten them enough but not over tighten which can break the screw heads

How many jewels does that watch have in it. It look like four. And also how do you know where the screws go is it by memory?

It’s been a few months since I did the service, I’m pretty sure it has 17. After you’ve worked on enough of these, you’ll remember where the screws go. Using a few trays when you’re starting out will help. Keep the parts separate and the screws placed by the locations they go into. It becomes muscle memory after some time.

IMHO the Customer was too strict regarding the "Cosmetics" side of repairing that Watch: The Crystal shows the Soul of the Watch and if the Crystal is in as bad shape as in that Watch, the Soul, a Dial does show all wrong, unclear and distorted. I assume the Movement is ETA 2512? If that the case, 17 Jewels for sure.
