Eh. While I like some of these choices, NONE of them really speak to me as Storm. I personally would just choose some unknown African actress.

None of these women are Dark skin but the first one

I think Dewanda wise ,Teyana Taylor, Tinka sumpter ,janelle moonae or Gabrielle union or Eva top model….

There’s not too many bad picks here, but there are a three more that I’d add. Gabrielle Union, Sharon Duncan-Brewster and Cynthia Erivo (who’s probably my first pick for Storm).

The only way Marvel Studios can come correct with casting Storm is if the presence of the actress gives fans a sense of nostalgia. If Marvel Studios takes nostalgia into consideration before skin complexion. "A nostalgic image of Storm in a live-action sequence..., that's what would tip the scales". As an X-Men die-hard I can say the image of Storm I reminisce over the most is the comic book illustration of her from the early 1990's back when Jim Lee was involved & rebooted the X-Men teams to where the roster was big enough for Cyclops & Storm to both have roles as team commanders and each having their own team. This illustration of her has been replicated in the classic 1992 cartoon series as well as action figures, video game cameos & the collector trading card sets that were brought to us by brand names such as Skybox, Fleer & Marvel Masterpiece. All of which comes from the early 1990s. That incarnation of Storm was showcased on 5 different platforms of media, as a result receiving 5 times the publicity simultaneously, which is more than any other illustration of her to this day. The actress who can fulfill that classic nostalgic image of Storm, that is the actress that will solve the miscasting problem. And with all the actresses you had in this video you didn't even include her, but rest assured, there is one actress I can think of that would fit that vintage look of Storm flawlessly, with her regal elegance, body & facial recognition to pull it off without even trying... Melanie Liburd. I would love to see & hear her try an African accent since she sounds just as alluring & gorgeous as she looks. By the way, The best way to describe her skin tone is to match it up with Zoe Saldana, or Vivica A. Fox, a caramel brown if that makes a difference to you. But it doesn't end with Melanie, seeing as I'm also reminded of a comic book title from 2010 called "X-Men Forever". It resembled the aesthetic of the classic cartoon in some ways, but it featured a younger, adolescent (clone) version of Storm who the X-Men called "Lil' Ro". If Marvel Studios decides to go this route or God-willing, we end with 2 versions of Storm I know the perfect person who could play the younger clone of Storm... Reign Edwards. Like Melanie, Reign is a rising star who's still waiting for her big break. She's just as talented & just as gorgeous as Melanie, and yes the resemblance between these 2 women is striking. I like to think that I've caught on to how Kevin Feige thinks when it comes to casting. One thing Kevin likes to do is use Marvel Studios as a platform to establish household names. With Reign & Melanie, they've each gained some popularity in recent years, but neither of them has had that big breakout moment on the big screen that would otherwise propel them into mainstream celebrity stature, @ least not yet. So, Melanie Liburd to play the original Storm & Reign Edwards to play the doppelganger, that's the way to go... Lastly, both these actresses have experience with the Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror genre, which Marvel is chock full of. The First time I saw Melanie she was on a Canadian Sci-Fi series called "Dark Matter" as well as "Game of Thrones" for a bit. As for Reign Edwards, she was featured in a Hulu horror thriller called "Into the Dark" as well as "Hell Fest". The reason why I mention Science Fiction credentials is because most of the time when you see a movie with a cast of predominately black people the subject matter of that movie usually has to do with crime, civil rights, sports, comedy, or a biography of someone's gangster life. Black Panther on the other hand was an anomaly for black Hollywood, & by that, I mean Sci-Fi oriented, which widened the scope & venue for black talent in show business. We need to keep in mind that Storm is an "A" list character & Marvel Studios has a tendency to brings in the billions. Having an actress who wants to play a top tier character role in this genre come into the fold with no prior Sci-Fi experience seems a bit irresponsible. With that said, I do believe an actress who has Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror credentials will get a better reception from fans which in turn will envoke more confidence in their ability to pull off the role, as well they should. Or maybe this is just me being superficial, based on Storm's comic book debut as a nudist. But in addition, when comparing all the sisters of Marvel, I do want Storm to be the sexiest. Both these women have that covered as well. With all that said, that ladies & gentlemen are how you cast Storm for the M.C.U.

I like Ruth Negga but Not for Storm too light and a way too racially ambiguous... but acting wise she could pull it off but overall 👎

If I'm being honest people are expecting too much from the MCU for Storm. When she does be introduced to the MCU at first she will be nerfed down like Scarlet Witch was. People might think that's annoying but if you think about it, it's actually not. If Ororo in the MCU starts out like she was in the fox movies and her powers grow and evolve in her MCU appearances then we will experience her learning her abilities and see her moving towards becoming stronger and then we will witness the Storm we know and love from the comics. When they done it for Scarlet Witch they'll certainly do it for powerhouses like Jean Grey, Storm, Magneto, Iceman etc

I enjoyed your review overall and yes we all agree Halle Berry was horrible for Storm. and your description of what Storm should be was absolutely accurate. Heres some critical feedback - The film the Old Guard came out July 10th on Netflix and this video went up on Aug 2nd so you should have seen it and reviewed it before you did your video. - I was interested in who YOU thought should be Storm instead of just going over Screen Rants choices and what you thought of them. - Zoe Kravitz has been cast as Catwoman in the DC reboot of Batman so she can't be Storm. You should have mentioned that. Overall great job!

I know she’s had an African like accent in the past but why would you think she needs an African accent when her dad is an American and she grew up in New York City?

I really just love Janelle Monae too. More of her is never enough. I hope she becomes Storm.
