Declutter Your Home in 15 Minutes a Day Course: cli.re/Course
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO COURSES:
Take Your House Back is hosted by three of us: myself, Dana from A Slob Comes Clean and Cas from Clutterbug. We talk big picture about how to declutter and focus a lot of attention on working through obstacles like sentimental items, unsupportive family members and other hang-ups. This course is FUN, there is a lot of involvement from all three of us and the ideas are specific to those who haven't been successful in the past.
Ideal for those who have been decluttering for a long time with little success and those looking for more community and support.
In the Declutter Your Home in 15 Minutes a Day course we go through the workbook, breaking down specific areas of your home in detail to be able to declutter faster and with more confidence. If you want to know specifics (like how many of each thing to keep) this course is for you.

Why do minimalists just leave something in a covered with nothing in it
@TheMinimalMom
@TheMinimalMom 2 жыл бұрын
@@ItsDarrinHintz good question, for me, I find that if I leave it open stuff gets unintentionally shoved there, if there’s a basket it feels like it’s a placeholder for something to be more thoughtfully stored there…not door if it works that way for everyone!

I noticed something , do you have any nik knacs or stuff that makes your home you? I noticed many minimalist have nothing personal that identifies them, like its more like a hotel. I'm conflicted between my things that make it me and nothing like a hotel.

@@angelgirldebbiejo I think this is a great question. I don’t really have any nik nacks but try to be at least a little unique in how I decorate our house, I like to have color and feel cozy, not like a cookie cutter design.

Hi , LouAnn! I’ve seen you on a couple of Dawn’s videos and I totally believe what Dawn has to say about you, that you were and still are a great Mom. I have one daughter and her father and I divorced when she was five. He disappeared from our lives and I raised her completely on my own after that. In those years I totally let my house go every day and dealt with it on Saturday mornings, because the little time I had to devote to my daughter after work and school was so much more important to me than anything else. Then after the house and errands were taken care of on Saturdays, we had the rest of the weekend for fun.

My mom too. I never rember our house being "messy" or cluttered. I believe she made alot of trips to goodwill behind our backs, lol. We used to tease her, hey, mom, what did you ever do with our plaster of Paris handprints from kindergarten??? Anyway, she never ever complained about housework and did most of it herself, plus milked 20-30 cows, morning and night, often with no help or the help of a kid. I miss her so much. It was simpler growing up for us kids, we went no where but to school. Of course we would do something once in a while, but there was not sports gear and band instruments and bicycles (we had one lol the "cop" got to ride the bike. My brother was always the cop, lol.) lying around. We had one closet. Three bedrooms for mom, dad and seven kids.

Definitely cheerleading for team LouAnn! You remind me of my mom. Growing up, she worked hard, she would drop everything to help others, she took care of her elderly parents, and she was kind. She really did her best, but the house was usually messy. I wouldn't change her for the world. She taught us so many life skills and she gave us everything that she could. If I had to learn housekeeping skills from others, so be it. I'm 100% okay with that. The world would be a much better place with a few more LouAnns and Pearls in it. ❤

LouAnn: Hey, your children are reflecting your wisdom. I also did Saturday clean the house each week with my mom and sisters. Good memories. Good job on what you poured into your children and how you raised them. My mom is in heaven. Here is a hug.

Dawn, I love how you are reasonable to say that we can't value everything but I love that you have always valued God and family. LouAnn, that is directly related to you. You have been an amazing mom and continue to be an incredible grandma and woman in the community. It still hasn't left my mind that you make cards to brighten people's day. I think that shows your selflessness and commitment to being a good Christian. How could you have possibly done more when you did the right things? Bless you for your influence within your family. 💜

Dawn I am really encouraged by you and your sweet family! I identify with you and love that you reminded me of how I grew up too! And LouAnn, you and you husband did a great great job raising your family, teaching them to take care of each other, their home, how to work and love God. Cleaning the house on Saturday was the way we grew up with my parents. Putting things away, dusting, cleaning, using the Kirby, mowing, raking and pulling the weeds took hours, but so worth it. LouAnn I bet you are a joy, just like Dawn says you are! Blessings!

Hi Mom! You did do a great job, look at how your daughters turned out. And back in the day we didn't have access to all of these organizing tools. My Kirby came out on Saturdays as well and the four kids helped out and life was good.

Hi LouAnn! Like so many of us, you and your husband have worked hard to raise three lovely children. They are your gift to the world and we are all so grateful they are around to help others like myself to live a better life. Because of you, the world is a much better place. Those of us who have grown children, know how difficult it is to raise kids, keep house, and pay the bills when both parents have to work. We appreciate your sacrifices. I'd also like to thank you for allowing Dawn to film the decluttering sessions in your home. That's so brave of you. I don't think I would ever have the courage to invite thousands of strangers into my pantry while organizing it. Whenever Dawn mentions elements of her childhood, it is never to put you on the spot or show dissatisfaction with how she was raised. She lovingly shares her stories so that we can all understand her journey. We can all sense how proud she is of you and I'm certain you are equally proud of her, Diana, and your son. Prayers and best wishes for you always.

Hello LouAnn, I grew up on a farm and know up close how much work it takes. You also held down a full-time job, and I am absolutely amazed at how much was on your plate. No one person can do it all-and I love that Dawn has these sweet memories of cleaning with you and listening to Amy Grant (Grape Grape Joy!). Never doubt your influence and testimony for we all see that your husband is known in the gates and your children arise up and call you blessed. ::hugs::
