I have seven cats. I have one Christmas tree. It's an unequal fight.... We anchor the tree to the ceiling and the walls now. Lessons learnt!

My black and white cat looks brown and white in direct light which is intriguing. Cats like to knock decorations off the tree like the knock things of tables and shelves.

If this doesn`t warm up every cat lover`s heart then I don`t know what could. I`ve got two tuxedo cats. It would seem that I`ve had a lot of luck in the last eight years because so far, they haven`t touched the tree or damaged anything. Fingers crossed they won`t start this year :)))

We couldn`t put up the Christmas tree two years ago when our cat Shelly was a kitten because he liked to climb on it and scratch everything. He would not touch the tree anymore when he is grown up so we have our Christmas tree and other season decorations back this year.

My cat climbed halfway up the tree to lay on a limb but the limb wasn't. Wide enough enough because it is a fake tree and all the limbs were just metal. He ran back down and ran away. If it had been a real tree he could have curled up in it. Later I found both of my cats curled up under the tree looking innocent and cute. Maybe they liked the lights and shiny ornaments which they pawed at knocking them down and some broke. I put all the glass one's at the too and the plastic ones on the bottom no more broken ornaments. I really love your paintings, the cats are adorable.

Very cute. My cat loves to climb the Christmas tree. The first year he did it, he looked so cute I couldn't scold him. Now he's to fat to get up in the tree.

This tutorial made me laugh. We haven't had a Xmas tree for 15 years....the last time I tried to have one the tree was "removed" after 20 minutes thanks to the cats 😂, so your tutorial brought back a happy memory 🐈‍⬛🐈 Will be trying this one! What a fun Christmas card Harriet! I have bought a twig tree this year to foyle my despicable cat’s antics at Christmas- no more having to find, pick up and replace baubles every morning (she waits until I’m asleep).
