Even if the teacher claims Cherokee princess grandmother this is wrong. She is a teacher and caries a heavy responsibility to her students. She is a very Important person in society, I hope she realizes her mistakes, apologizes and opens her eyes on the history of Native peoples.

She's obviously a good person if she goes to this length to help kids learn. I do question her methods but I don't think she knew what she was doing could be interpreted by some as offensive. A little education is all that is needed here, there's no need for her to be cancelled in the court of public opinion and she most CERTAINLY SHOULD NOT LOSE HER JOB OVER THIS!!
