+Quentin Raffensperger Canada's goalkeeper had a dreadful day while Soviets ditto Tretiak maybe his best ever. Canada won 1st period shot by 12-4 and was superior. I remember particularly one "idiot-save" by Tretiak and how Canada had a shot which hit both the posts and the bar! :-o 0-0 after first period and 1-1 half the game was not fair. A bad goalie or a really good one can made it up for a whole team.

Liut played shamefully. A few years later he admitted in an interview that he was so bad that it bothered him for several years after.
