What I absolutely love about this video is that AA is highlighting older employees, not just showing all 20 somethings.

It's a terrific job for older people. I just started doing this a couple years ago at 62. I love it!

My cousin, Juanita Carmichael, was a flight attendant with AA. She started in 1944. She retired in 2000 with 56 years of service. She was the oldest seniority for many years and held the Guinness Book of World Records title as the oldest flight attendant. As a kid, I loved hearing her stories about her many trips around the world. I salute all the AA flight attendants. Good people.

Steve Mallon IKR!!! That is so awesome to hear about your cousin Ms. Carmichael. WOOOW 56 yrs is a long time for service and dedication. Flight attendants are awesome people. I love American Airlines. Also, today is 9/11 my thoughts and prayers are with the flight attendants and pilots who died on that fateful day. Also continued peace and healing to their families, friends, and the entire United States of America.

Aw, how nice! If you’ve been flying long enough you’ll know who Juanita Carmichael is and I don’t even fly for American. I fly for another airline. Yes, she’s legendary for those of us in the industry overall who follow it well when it comes to inflight services. Airways Magazine even did an article about her.

Many fond memories of working as a PSA @ YVR in the '80s and '90s. Often was asked why I wasn't pursuing a position as a flight attendant. My response was always that I enjoyed my job on the ground. Fast forward 30+ years and what am I doing now? Working as a FA, but not with AA.

I flew with American Airlines couple of times in my life. They were bad experiences. After that I tried to avoid this airline. I don’t know what it is that made the FA so mean … CS culture, racial discrimination? I hope it gets better tho… The first time was when I was 10 yo. I went to US with my mom to attend my sister’s college graduation. My mom only know basic English vocabulary. And i was extremely shy and my English was bad so i don’t speak anything . My mom tried to order orange juice for me. FA said she doesn’t have it and proceed to list all the available drinks … wine, tea, apple juice, pineapple juice etc…- with exception of ‘orange juice’. I think she did it on purpose to made fun of my mom’s accent. We got water At 14 yo. I went to US alone to study. I’m a short Asian girl. I wasn’t expecting FA to help or anything, I really tried to lift the carry on up but it was out of my reach and felt on my head. There were 3 flight attendants standing like 5 feet away. They made no attempt to help and were pointing and laughing at me.

Is it possible the person like me who are not american and not from USA be flight attendant in American Airlines ?. I have passion to serve and give the best service to the guest. i love people's, share the smile and give the best of the best. as you know be fligh attendant in Asia especially in Indonesia. you need to have perfect body, perfect skin, perfect look..., and very hard to me to reach the requirments. be flight attendant is my dream since child and.... i feel i have knowledge to do but i dont have a body like supermodel to be flight attendant. can you makes my dream comes true to be flight attendant even for one day only ? it will be the best day in my life if you giving me a chance to do it. Thank You American Airlines 😊

Have you heard about the Flight Attendant Roberta whose sister Sylvia is gay? The only problem is she hates gays and her best friend, Alina, is keeping Sylvia's secret, but not for long. Keeta, Roberta's, other best friend, has known all along, but she's got some secrets of her own; a stripping career and sugar daddy that pays the bill Think you've got the story all figured out?
