Today we are going to take a first look at a ultra budget fishing rod called The Super Macans by Cemreo. This is a Chinese BFS (Bait Finesse System, Ultralight Baitcaster Fishing) orientated rod from aliexpress that is more on the power BFS side. It is a travel rod that comes in 3 lengths and both spinning and casting. This rod would be perfect for targeting species like Trout, Perch, Bass, Snapper, Salmon, Jack Pike, Carp and many more.

Larry, the 8ft spinning version might be a good rod to have in your arsenal. It's 5 pieces so it's packs down to around 50cm. Should handle a bigger salmon just fine

Nice looking rod. I have a sunboen shore jigging rod i picked up at a market for $60. Checked ali there on $100 posted 😬. Its a fast action 5-15g 2.4m mine is spin but there is a casting one. Due to the fast action it feels way stiffer than it can handle. I have casted 3/4oz no issues. Its to firm for squid, ok for whiting, but way better for pinkies. Nice reel i am betting it will be the best premium bfs budget reel on offer.

Yes the reel would be at its current price! Few little issues with it but I don't doubt it will be the best "super budget" reel.

Thanks for sharing. A Chinese brand Aioushi or something has some cheap rood with good specs. Not sure about the build quality though.

Yes I know of that one, still hasn't arrived, I was hoping it would this week. I will put the Acura on it with those magenta knobs and move the purple knobs to the elf

Nah I had a cast with it 2 days ago. Just had about 15 casts with around 6g. 4g Cheb and a plastic. Casted that really well and the sensitivity is passable for that price. I want to try maybe 3g and 20g to get a full impression but I'm very happy with it.

Hello! You mention sensitivity and now I wonder if you think this rod or the Phantom is more sensitive and maybe which you’d prefer for bottom contact lures? Thx 😊
