Money can't buy happiness, but Gravity Payments CEO Dan Price doesn't believe in that philosophy. The boss announced a big raise for many of his employees and took a big pay cut. Anthony Mason reports.

It's been years and all the people who wanted him to fail have seen him succeed. The reason? Now, in order for Gravity Payments to go down, it's not only Dan Price who must fail. All its workers have to fail, and I bet my right hand those workers break their butts trying to make Gravity survive and thrive.

Coming back to this comment in 2021. You are absolutely correct. In a recent interview of the employees, they were willing to take a cut to their paycheck for the company to keep operating during the pandemic.

This got 30,000 views in six years.... This is horrible. This company should be a model for all companies. I wish I could use this company for their services because I would use them just because the CEO has a heart for his workers.

If only life was that simple. Most important thing is business is product demand. If he’s paying everyone 70k, then he must be able to charge a higher price and get significant volume of sales because his product/services must be in high demand.

Very rare to find someone who cares more about happiness rather than money. Thank you Dan Price. Wish I had this opportunity. Happiness is better and healthier and people do well because of a supportive upper management team. That is what every job needs. Makes team works gain more confidence. Congratulations to Gravity Payment employees.

Even if you took every single penny the Waltons take home from Walmart, it would only be enough to give every employee a 3 dollar an hour raise. This may work for highly profitable small companies, but it doesn't scale.

Big corporations who pay minimum wage says it won’t work it will make us less profitable. What there not saying, our profits will go from 10 billion a year down to 8 billion a year. A person can’t survive with 2 billion less a year. Oh I feel for them.

Yeah let’s give someone with only a high school diploma or a community college degree a high salary not based on merit. Great idea. What about the Stanford graduate who is actually smart and capable who doesn’t work here? You get paid based on merit not handouts. Plus if a company is not profitable they can’t hire more people.
