Don’t you love Brian’s “antennae”? The way he can feel a person out.. he knows for sure what good vibrations and bad vibrations are.. like the dog in his whole spiel about how good vibrations came about.. love you Brian ❤️

Good interviewer. Brian in a good mood. Screenwriter answered the questions in a very sensible way. I am happy when I see Brian surrounded by people who love him and are supportive of him. And yes- harmony. Beautiful melodies, instrumentation, arrangements. He wrote words to a number of songs. I am glad he collaborated with other tunesmiths for words also. I enjoy singing Brian’s songs. We need to keep performing his music to keep it alive.

I think it also helps that Oren really was ready to dive into talking abt the details of the movie, as opposed to just chit-chat on the surface like people often do in interviews abt movies.

I am one of the biggest Beach Boys / Brian Wilson fans ever. I connect so deeply with their music since I was young. I too suffer with mental health issues. I am lost on what to do, I’ve tried different meds & help; but nothing has really helped. I feel so lost & alone again right now with it all. Love you Brian

Brian, I was 40+ years old, before I found out I had a behavior issue. ADHD. But, been dealing (or not) all of my life. Brian, you have been someone I looked up to, since I was about 7 years old. Your, and your brother's music, has been in my life since 1965. ADHD, if not treated, (for 40+ years) leads to depression. (Or, I have a side diagnosis of depression.) But, The Beach Boys, have been supporting me, for most of that time. If I could, I'd thank you, personally. Already have tickets for the June 7th concert, in Phoenix. I can only think of one band, decent enough, to play supplement to Chicago. They should be playing backup to YOUR band! Both are well loved groups, so we have a GREAT night of music to look forward to. steve

What a. life. 2 make the kind of music he did. It has endured the test of time. Then 2 hav a 2nd career still in music & 2 still break barriers comin 4ward about his mistakes & triumphs like they ptd out many others didn't survive. But now an advocate 4 makin mental illness less taboo & putting it out there 2 help others. Letting peo kno its real but u can survive. Thru Love & Mercy. Smile.

This is one of the most sensitive and intelligent interviews with BW I've heard. The interviewer has tremendous patience with Brian's often laconic responses but by the end, it's clear that Brian respected him and opened up a bit. This is a model of good interviewing. I don't think Terry Gross could have done better.

Maybe THIS is his time .. maybe WE’RE ready 4 his genius. I’m biased ; have always zeroed in on the Pet Sounds & Smile portion of his discography. Uno, u havvan abusive father, have ur musical genius rejected by Powers That Were including internal dissent, mix in the mid-late 60s, drug culture & u’d .. aaghh, float off too. Harmony, open musical genius & bldg on musical history is his legacy secured. 2 b sure some of his genius was inherited from musical parents. Thx Brian👌

Instead he had terrible people providing him with even more drugs and Syd fell into a deeper hole and never came out of that. Instead he isolated himself till he died which is sad. He could’ve done a lot of great things in rock and roll. But sadly we never got that. We only have what he did in Pink Floyd and his solo career. Good thing David always made sure he was taken care of with royalties. He seemed to be the only person who cares about him and made sure he had his piece of the pie.

When Landy worked with Brian he helped him to be healthy and Brian never looked so good. Can't deny that. So, I'm not sure that Landy deserves all this bad press as to the harm that he did to Brian. Nothing is perfect. Landy saved Brian from the worst direction in which he was heading and he deserves accolades for bringing Brian out of the hell he was in both physically and mentally. Let's stop demonizing a man who turned things around for Brian. Not an easy thing to do when someone is on that freight train to the abyss of mental and physical total collapse.
@wildsmiley
@wildsmiley 4 жыл бұрын
Mary Magdalene Eugene Landy saved Brian’s life. He then proceeded to do everything he can to take his life away from him to gain power. The terrible things Landy did to not only Brian, but by extension his family, far outweigh the good.
