Like Coder said Chain Blocking is a great way to protect your most important monsters, spells and/or traps from effects that could prevent you from winning the game on that turn or setting you up for the next.

About Chain blocking: You neglected to mention mandatory effects will always trigger first, then optional effects. It's a little thing but it's very important in the case you're playing a card like Sangan.

I don't understand why using red-eyes fusion for dragon requires you to send red-eyes black dragon instead of any dragon effect monster. I'm glad that this doesn't work but I don't get it considering red-eyes fusion only says that the monster has to list red-eyes as a material it doesn't say that you have to send red-eyes

I have dragoon on my field and activate another monster’s effect, my opponent chains gamma, I chain dragoon to discard and negate, and my opponent then chains photon lead to summon the gamma. What happens to the gamma and does the dragoon gain attack?

So I activate Comic Hand to take control of the Dragoon. Is the Comic Hand destroyed at the start of the next turn since the Dragoon no longer has his effect negated, or does it stay with him ? Aron the ogdoadic king's third effect says that you can add a light or dark reptile from your GY or deck to your hand if a monster your opponent cobtrols is sent to GY. In the OCG however, this effect says that the opponent's monster must be sent from the field to the GY by a card effect. How is this effect applied in the TCG and how is dealt with such translation errors?

My Dragoon question is something a friend brought to my attention to see if I could make heads or tails of it. It may seem really stupid and may just be a Dueling Nexus program error. But I thought I’ll ask because I didn’t see the problem with it and I could be missing something. Question: Can you use REF to summon Dragon by using Dark Magician and any Dragon effect monster? (For example, my friend tried to use REDMD) The only thing I can think of for a reason you can’t is because REF reads “Summon a fusion that specifically lists Red-Eyes Black Dragon as material” so you maybe need to specifically use Red-Eyes.

I had this specific case where I had Cyber Angel Natasha in Attack Position on my field and my opp had Borrelsword and another Attack Position monster. He declared Attack with borrelsword and negated the attack, then he proceeds to attack with the other monster and in his declaration he claimed he could activate Borrelsword quick eff BEFORE I could activate Natasha's eff again. How does this work?

I have a question for the episode after dragoon if thats okey. Can i use Implantation Inception to summon Nekroz Ritual Monsters? Im confused, cuz all Nekroz monster have the line "can be ritual summond by a Nekroz Spell card"...now it doesn't say "can only" and since Imp Incep states that it can summon any Ritual monster i think it is possible...but if so, why even put that line of text on the Nekroz monsters to begin with, when doesn't restrict in any way?

Ruling question: I was testing out some fun things with Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord and ran into something I've never seen before. Here was the setup: - On my field I have Black Garden, a Sky Striker Link-1 - On my opponent's field, there are 5 Rose Tokens in Attack Position - In hand is Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord, Left Arm Offering, and two unrelated cards - In GY is the remaining 3 Sky Striker Link-1s and Raye I summon Exodius to the field by his own effect, shuffling the monsters in my graveyard back into the decks and special summoning him. Black Garden activates, halving his currently 0 ATK but there's no zone for an extra Rose Token to be summoned. I then activate Left Arm Offering, banishing the two remaining cards in hand to add Diffusion Wave-Motion to my hand and subsequently activate it, targeting Exodius. I enter the battle phase to go for the OTK, attacking a Rose Token. I send a Normal limb of Exodia to the GY, which brings the ruling into question. Exodius did not gain any ATK from the sent monster, I ended up attacking with a 0 ATK Exodius into an 800 ATK Rose Token, destroying my Exodius by battle. My question is, why did this happen? I would hope the boost of 1000 ATK happens after the halving is applied, thereby allowing me to beat over each token and send the pieces. I could also see the ATK going to 500 instead due to Black Garden's halving, but Black Garden says it halves ATK, not original ATK. But neither of these things happened, it got no boost and I just lost my monster. I've pulled this combo off in a different deck without Black Garden, so I know the ATK boost is supposed to happen upon the limb hitting the GY, so what happened here? I'm seriously confused and so are a few of my Yugioh friends.

When I play in platforms such as Dueling Nexus and EDOPRO I activate an effect on the field such as Baelix, while I have a card with a trigger effect on my hand like gazelle or parallel exceed, my opponent can always activate ash from the hand in response to the monster on the field, *THAN* I'm allowed to activate the effect of the card from my hand. Does it have some sort of ruling that allows trigger effects to be activated in a chain after a quick effect or does the game mistook the rulings?

I have a question, Treacherous Trap Hole targets two monsters, and it says "destroy those targets". As far as I understand, when a card says that, it has to meet the targets requirements at resolution. But in Duel Links, when I activate it and remove one of the targets, it still resolves destroying the other target. Is it an implementation error? Or am I missing something about this card? Thanks!

I play shaddolls and I wonder how spell and trap card effects in the gy are treated? I thought I can use the traps in respond tona action my oppenent performs during his turn. The correct ruling and perspective of this issue would be interesting related to the last question u answered in the video. Do spell and trap cards dont count as spell and traps when they are in the gy and activated? Is it then just the aktivation of a effect in the gy ? And what about monster effects in the gy, are they in some sense the same ?

A Ruling question about Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon interacting with cards like "Palladium Oracle Mahad" and "Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax: Can Dragoon use its negation effect in the damage step/calculation? For example, Avramax runs into Dragoon and attempts to use its effect to gain ATK points equal to Dragoon current ATK, or Mahad does the same and attempts to double its ATK value. For specific reference for Avramax' and Mahad's effects, I quote them below since if I understand correctly Avramax's effect is optional whilst Mahad's is mandatory, and that can possibly affect the rulings: A: "Once per battle, during damage calculation, if this card battles a Special Summoned monster (Quick Effect): You can make this card gain ATK equal to that opponent's monster's ATK during that damage calculation only." M: "If this card battles a DARK monster, its ATK is doubled during the Damage Step only."
