@@throwthatassinaprayercircl2662 I enjoy their honest portrayal of all the craziness of all sides involving themselves in a single event, especially when we don’t often see those represented in msm. This felt purposely or accidentally, slanted for an overall view, like msm is doing with the uvalde tragedy. It’s all a sad shame, it’s easy for an outsider to gain poor perspective, I just hope everyone does their diligence and independent research before emotions drive legislation.

Uvalde police active shooter training documents from a week prior explicitly state something along the lines of “you may have to enter alone without back up in the face of grave peril.” The badge is shaped like a shield because it is symbolic of the core of what any police should be for their community. I’m not wishing death on police, nor am I advocating for reckless activity that endangers life. But you hear gunshots in a school and you don’t go in - honestly I have no words.

TBF, this was always the case with police officers. I guess you would be surprised to hear that this is a common occurrence with mass shootings, everything from the sandy hook shooting, to the Vegas shooting. Our police are trained internally to not put themselves in harm and to protect each other, not civilians (since they are trained to think every civilian is a combatant). It's only PR that puts out things like "protect and serve", and "Police officers know that each time they put on their uniform, they are taking on risks to protect others". Those quotes are the furthest thing from the truth. They have been taken to supreme court 4 times over the past decade over those quotes and the courts found that police are not responsible for the safety and protection of citizens. Police exist to protect property and high value individuals only.

Take these guns out of circulation the same way paints, medicines, and foods have been. Shootings will always be a problem, but do you really think these 18 year shooters would have had access to black markets and/or extremely pricey 3D printers (???) capable of printing a working AR-15? I don’t think they would have, they have been loners, not gang members. Also what is the point of us having these guns? To fight the government one day? How will an AR-15 hold up to our military’s arsenal? They won’t do shit. Seems like they’re only useful for killing civilians en masse.

i think other journalists do and would publish longer interviews, BUT when you work for a media company whose primary function is to make money, not inform people. they edit out meaningful content so they can place ads and not upset the police(who won't tell them anything if they tell the truth), they run the initial police reports without question or investigation, so that first story is what lands in peoples heads, anything after that, like a factual correction usually gets lost in the static.

You can do the same with showing a car show, then showing a women crying that her family died in a crash. It's just manipulation. When a car crash happens, no one blames cars. But when a shooting happens, people blame guns, video games, movies, etc. The prohibition happened because people thought alcohol caused violence, and that's the same logic we are seeing here. @@rjohnson080 ban all future sales of guns. Whiners can keep what they got and grandfather them to their kids. And all illegal guns would make their way off the street one at a time. But you dont want answers. You dont. You likely ignored my entire response.

The clip where it goes from showing an upbeat ‘fashion show’ where people can see the various ways in which one can carry a firearm to the silence of the mural of the murdered children and teachers was absolutely gut wrenching. This is quality journalism.

Literally everyday thousands of people are murdered regardless of whether a gun was present. The idea that I can’t use my gun cause a shooting just happening is some moral grandstanding bullshit idgaf about. @@justislugga He doesn't even say anything. He simply shows people at the NRA convention celebrating their guns and fashion show cat walking and juxtapositions it against the shooting memorial. It can be taken however you want, but to have a convention celebrating the very thing that recently killed those 19 kids so soon after it happened is a little bit distasteful and inhumane.

Honestly it’s crazy that people can sell guns to 18 year olds, however you should be able to build your own gun at 17 imo like legit if you can build your own gun you probably deserve your right to bear arms 💯 like I just think knowing how things work matters you should be able to be a human with a gun if you don’t build it first.(I mean put to together not manufacture parts)

That is literally the sole purpose of a manifesto; to declare your intention/motivation/views. Like, the fuck? That's like driving down the road and seeing a big red sign and going "why would they put up a big red sign there anyway?" without reading the sign and then driving off a cliff because the sign said "danger cliff".
