This was prime Chuck IMO. His Phoenix Suns days, he was more of a low post player. His 76ers days was a true savage explosive beast.

Absolutely. Sixers Chuck was a little ahead of his time - he was listed as a power forward, but we moved him all over the place - he posted, we iso'ed him on the wing, and the top of the key, he lead the break....We really played him everywhere. And, "a savage explosive beast" is a great way to describe what he was. What a frickin' animal

Barkley is truly a unicorn. This little guy runs like a deer, jumps through the roof on two feet from a stand still, has a lightning quick first step, blocks the giant centers, is a world class rebounder and can make passes like a pg. What an awesome player.

Coach Jim Lynam comes into my work (seafood market in Philly Suburbs) about once a week. I generally don't like to talk his ear off about basketball. He's entitled to a private life and he probably hears it all the time. But I did ask him once, "So who's the best player you've ever seen on the floor as a coach, opponent or on the Sixers?" He replied without hesitation, "Barkley, there was nobody like him I've ever seen before or since. Greatest competitor I was ever around. If only half the young guys today, with their talent, played with hist tenacity... " And seeing these highlights I have to agree.
