The man who was the mastermind behind his brother-in-law’s murder was sentenced to life without parole. Tuesday morning, Charlie Adelson briefly spoke in front of a Florida judge stating, “I just wanted to say that I maintain my innocence” before the judge sentenced him to spend the rest of his life behind bars. Adelson hired three people to kill Dan Markel. At the time of his murder, Markel was in a brutal divorce and custody battle with Adelson’s sister, Wendi Adelson.

Do you know the FIRST thing I thought about whle watching the beginning of this video? Charlie Adelson was earning $3.5 million per year in a very successful periodontal practice. He had a luxurious condo with a Porsche and a Ferrari. He played with swimsuit models while eating at the best hot spots in Miami. Due to ONE horrific decision from his ego and hubris, it's all over. I will be driving to Walmart later today to purchase a bag of cat food....he would now consider that a dream life.

Wendi ORCHESTRATED this whole thing... Charlie loved her but she made sure that she pushed Charlie so far that he actually hired the hitman and then she went and told everyone that Charlie hired the hitman..... she is the real culprit and justice won't be served until she is behind bars for more than life.

Strategy by Prosecutor to try them one by one. Much evidence was collected over the nine years after murder, whereby these people more or less implicated themselves.

I agree! They both got boyfriend and girlfriend, with the idea of finding a killer and blaming the killer on the boyfriend . That’s premeditation. Renting a car first like the boyfriend had. They used people, very bad to execute the plan to kill Dan Markel. I don’t believe these type of people were good scholars I had the feeling their degrees were purchased by the parents. With their political and religious influence. You know I payed my way to college, I worked very hard I had no one because I am new American to support me. I would never jeopardize my education that cost me so much to get just for a personal vendetta. These people didn’t appreciate nothing at all in their lives they were spoiled little brats.

“I *maintain* my innocence,” such a precise, formal and rehearsed way to say it. Not “I am innocent and I have been falsely convicted!”, or something similar that would convey the passionate state of a truly innocent man. Also, innocent people’s families’ lawyers don’t tell them not to discuss the murder of a loved one with each other. Have fun in prison for life Maestro Charlie.

What a psychopath. At the very least, if those are going to be his 10 words, he should've at least said in addition,"...it's terrible whenever someone loses a life, and I feel bad for him, but I didn't have anything to do with it." Here is an interesting fact I heard about Charlie boy - he has a son, that he refused to pay maintenance for.... that Donna showed no interest in, and it is amazing that the whole family were so obsessed with Wendy's two boys, when there was another grandson that would have loved to have grandparents to spoil him!!! Charlie was taken to court to make him pay child support!! Yet the family were willing to pay $1 million offer to Dan, to let the boys live in Florida? It doesn't make sense, that they could be willing to part with $1 million so they could see that two grandsons, but wouldn't pay anything to their other grandson?? WTF is wrong with this family - is it the challenge they like?? or was it the pure hatred of Dan?

His son Roman is not Jewish as the mother wasn’t Jewish. Conceived with Bree - a nanny. As you may know Donna looked down on “people like that” and referred to Charlie’s girlfriends as “his toys”. Children born as a result of such affairs won’t be seen as legitimate - let alone Jewish. Just my two cents on this one.

It’s absolutely astonishing that in no timeframe within this conspiracy, that Donna or Charlie or Wendi never looked at those babies & cared for their pain in growing up without their Dad. Their biggest issue in their life was their son-in-law/bro in law/husband wanted to be in his own son’s lives. So many have the opposite issue, & here he was murdered for daring to fight for them. I’ve been watching this case for 10 years and it’s the first that got me interested in true crime & law. Bless the state of FL and our justice system for all their efforts!

Charlie Adelson could have enjoyed his charmed, wealthy and privileged life to the full, had he only matured to become a grown man with decency, humility, and basic respect for other human lives. But instead he grew into a seriously twisted and toxic narcissist, so pathologically self-serving he believed inconvenient people could be 'dispensed with' as he saw fit. He played God, to please his similarly narcissistic mother Donna and sister Wendi. Charlie-boy blew it. His latest, morose appearance in court today, suggests he finally recognises the mess he made. He killed a much-loved son, brother and father of two dependant boys - and threw his own life away into the bargain. Momma Donna and Princess Wendi are next for justice - Tick Tock!
