Well... ... Didn't need the Final frontier or the one after. Still, the first three since 2000 were great. Would be nice if they made another good one before the end. There's a big difference between writing music to prove a point (like when he first joined and when he got back in again) or merely flying in for a six month rush to get it done and have some fun: A difference the seasoned fan can hear. So drop all the arse licking for a moment and be discerning.

I've been a Maiden fan since I first heard Flight Of Icarus in 1983 and then went and bought the first 3 albums and any 12 inch "maxi-singles" (as they were labelled in the day) I could find. The thing I love most about Maiden is that they have had a MAJOR sense of humour from the very beginning, they're very intelligent, they've written countless songs I love to this day and at 50 years old I still love their music. One of the "metal" bands that you can grow old with and love every minute of it because you don't have to be embarrassed when they open their mouth in an interview. Maiden is just Gold. And by the way, kids...this is what happens when you shun "celebrity," don't let drugs rule your life and stay in shape as you get older. You get to play music longer and, in Bruce's case, your voice holds up even better. UP THE IRONS ALWAYS!!!!!!!

The one thing I love about Iron Maiden is that unlike so many other bands, they refused to sell out their music for radio play or commercialism. Its balls to the wall electric guitar, drums, and bass. Love it or hate it, there is no in between. Unlike other lead singers, drugs and alcohol haven't taken their toll on Bruce Dickinson. He looks fabulous for his age and the voice is still there after all these years.
@UnchainedEruption Жыл бұрын
Refuse to sell out? Every album is the same thing, they're the definition of commercial, mainstream metal. Not that they don't make good music, but their music is totally commercial.

I love Bruce Dickinson's matter of fact manner of speaking and his humble stoic composure. A true ambassador of music and noble in the most English way. In my opinion, Dickinson brings class to Heavy Metal in the same sort of way that his British compatriot Paul Weller is the embodiment of class in the realm of contemporary Soul, R&B and Power Pop.
