That was the Seventh Son of Seventh Son Tour. When they came to KC it was after Axle had a further melt down and an 80's metal band opened up. In hindsight, I'm glad GnR pussed out.

What's really awesome is the level of difficulty of their songs... I mean, they rehearse the hell out of their tour set lists, so those are a given... but to just have another hour or so of complex material ready to go instantly, unrehearsed... that's awesome.

Well he must have heard a few songs, this is his "2nd" interview with him. The 1st was done MANY many years ago, and doesn't seem to be on the official Charlie Rose site.
