I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. kzfaq.infoUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

I stumbled accross this video by chance. Totally agree with it 100%, I'm a keen amateur detailer, not a pro and bought my dryer, having spent a fortune on it, and started using it on every weekly wash, but it just turned into a ball ache. I still use it, but not as often. I also use mine probably more on the interior these days than the exterior. Great video, very interesting

I use the EGO 5800 leaf blower. Had a Metrovac which I absolutely hated, a pain to unravel, plug in, drag around the car, constantly getting snagged and falling over etc. The leaf blower is not only more powerful but it's so convenient, just pick it up and go. 2-3 minutes around the car and the job is done.

I bought a harbor freight cordless leaf blower. Its portable and light and works great. Has a soft nozzle so if I bump the car it doesnt damage it. I am not a pro car detailer though and only use it on my show car when I detail it for shows. Older classic cars hold alot of water in places that you cant get with a towel and that can set you up for future rust.

Great, honest, obviously-not-sponsored video! You are such a down-to-earth person with no BS about you, and that’s so refreshing. Too many other reviewers are basically disguised salespeople for product placement. You can tell when they all simultaneously start detailing cars with the same products. NO WAY that happens in real life. These days it’s hard to tell if the reviewers aren’t just touting a product because they got free samples or were paid behind the scenes. As for the blower, I was strongly considering the BigBoi and had it pending in the online cart, but saw an earlier post of yours and changed my mind. So, I decided to save space in my garage AND money in my pocket by using the blower side of my shop vac. It has a filter and it blows heated air at a very high rate with various attachments that didn’t cost extra. It works great! Previously, I’ve used an electric Toro leaf blower, but that big unit gets unwieldy and heavy in a hurry. Not so with the lightweight vacuum/blower hose and nozzle! Keep up your good, honest work!

Thanks very much. I will be honest I have done the odd sponsored video but I tell people in the video if it's sponsored and the truth is as a KZfaqr you sometimes have to because the revenue is so bad for small channels like this one but I think people get confused when they see the sponsorship pop up because they assume that they are being forced to say positive things. So I've got a sponsored video coming next month for a few products but it's not a review. (It's more of a showcase with real feedback) I'll always tell it how it is because I respect how tough this industry is as detailing is my full time job so I just want to help others 🙏🙏

@@epicautomotivedetailing I didn't mean to suggest that sponsored reviews are less honest than non-sponsored. I understand that hard-working detailers like you should be rewarded for your efforts to inform us. I use a Greenworks 40v blower, especially as I've got x4 40v batteries (8 mins running time for each battery) that works with my Greenworks cordless pressure washer, 70bar is more than enough. The big problem with big boi is that you need either a petrol generator or at least 2,000kw or 3,000kw battery power station to make it work for at least 3-4 hours. Whereas, I have a 230kw Energizer 72,000 power station that charges all 4 of my Greenworks batteries when I'm out and about. Also got x5 25l water containers to fill up the Greenworks cordless pressure washer in-built bucket. Everything cost £500 total. Over the past year I've calculated that I need 75-100 litres of water for a safe wash or 50-75 litres for a contactless wash. I think this is the best way to start a mobile detailing business without spending too much and burning out. Make use of Amazon prime day as I got 30-50% off each item, otherwise I would've spent £1k-£1.2k as the 2ah 40v batteries are stupidly expensive at £70 with 8 mins running time, this will cost £30-40 on prime day.

VERY INTERESTING! I used my leaf blower for the first time last week but it's SOOOO LOUD! Maybe the pet dryer is the better solution, I will check it out, thank you! Next question: do you use de-ionised water for the final rinse? If so, what setup did you get? I have normal softened water from the house but our water contains a lot of gypsum that the softener can't remove. Do you have a favourite de-ioniser? I'm pretty sure that a de-ioniser WILL remove dissolved gypsum (calcium sulphate) since it is in ionised form in the water until it crystallises out. Very much looking forward to hearing your answer! All the best, Rob in Switzerland.

Being now just into my 60s and only a weekend warrior on my own and family cars I find the best drier is mother nature, I rinse really well with DI water and let it drip dry, non-contact, limescale, spot and scratch free! It's also the easiest on my shoulders and I can have a cuppa and pack up while it dries so I also save time. For me it's the perfect solution

Get a cheap compressor off marketplace and it should help the job. Always use tango when you rinse off. It disperses the water and changes the surface tension of the water and makes it disappear into the microfibre cloth easier/ quicker. Use the compressed air to blow water out of areas that cause runs. Mirrors, door handles, badges etc. when you are ready to present the car to customer, prepare a damp mf cloth and mist with tango. Use this to rub away any run marks. Tango contains water softener which makes any runs less able to mark the paint
