No revenge. Wife gets everything she wants. The rest is just some story of him finding someone else. 😢

How would the daughters understand, without being told anything?
@draconisdragonheart42483 ай бұрын
The story is all about getting the reader to guess what happened. To be honest his daughters would eventually get it. His wife agreed to have a baby for Glenn and Marge. This lead to his wife cutting off her daughters during the late stages of her pregnancy.
@draconisdragonheart42483 ай бұрын
The story never states what Bill figured out, but there are hints. When you get to the lawsuit it is pretty clear. Hint 1: They get rid of Bill so Donna goes to bed with Glenn. Hint 2: Story states Donna had been avoiding her daughters, she was traveling, and she had people at her house taking care of her. So I figured, her job was to allow Glenn to get her pregnant then turn over the baby to Glenn and Marge. Harriet figured it, out and that is why she filed the civil lawsuit.

Why make a point of having him come to the party if they just sent him away on an errand? Makes no sense
@Toka9723 ай бұрын
This. Not the first time I listen to this story but I kept listening to other versions to try and figure out if the author ever explained explicitly what was the retreat about. All we can do is make conjectures and take a guess, but it's never said she's cheating or they want to use him as a servant. It makes ZERO sense. I fucking hate all that is unsaid and the author expecting everyone to be a telepath and make a soul call to get what they are thinking. Must be a woman, expecting us to read her mind.
@stevetallent46373 ай бұрын
Because they are effing with him, jerking him around. They have him there, smirking at him, send him on an errand, use his wife, and smirk at the cuckold when he comes back. Everybody knows except for the unwitting cuckold. If he’s not there, they can relish in their conquest of his wife as much.

@@Toka972, I busted out laughing at your very last sentence. I’m a woman and you are so correct, lol. After being married for so long I’ve realized that’s unreasonable to expect it all the time but he’s learned to read my reactions. It’s all about the compromise!

It’s is to embarrass him. Everyone knew she was screwing her new boss. It was to emasculate him.
@Bill-13703 ай бұрын
The only thing I can come up with is they wanted to send him away while she entertained the boss and then when he returned, they all could laugh to each other about how they made him a cuck. Yea, I know that this makes about as much since as any other but just my thinking.

Man why is it always the cheater needs to tell people what they did. Sure just let the cheater set the narrative.
@Bill-13703 ай бұрын
I agree, I would be telling everyone, shouting it from the highest mountains. If you let the cheater tell the narrative, then you give up the right to complain.

Bill sounds like me, a minimalist. I have money, but barely spend it and live frugally. A loner. Have yet to find a female partner to put up with me and I am 53.

This story is popular. I've listened to two other versions. Neither had a payout. One the guy divorced his wife when she came home Sunday saying that this one time thing is done and they can get back to their life. She needed this as she has been faithful for 25 years. She's been having an emotional affair for 5 years with her boss and he was leaving the country with his wife for good the wife orchestrated this mess. She ended up sobbing heading upstairs to bed. Husband commented something like "count the losses husband wife marriage friends...hope your night was worth it. I'm calling lawyer Monday to start separation "

Its a college creative writing assignment. You can practically see the prompt rules. Sufficiently describe an event without directly describing the event. As another has said, the event is likely a scummy paid surrogacy/mistress job that ultimately alienated her from her family.

This story never made any sence if her promotion required her to service her boss and their customers they wouldn't insist on her husbands attendance why force him to attend simply to send him off on a choir to free up his wife 🤷♂️ just leave him at home.

Bruh, what is even going on in this thing? Im so confused as to what was going on? This is one of those stories where some type of exposition would've been nice. What did he figure out? What happened at the party with his wife? So many questions left unanswered.
